i think some people treat the hermits too little like people and too much like characters. guys i need you to check in with yourselves and realize you can have your blorbos and recognize the person behind them as a real person too. you can be unhappy with the way something unfolds in a game but that does not make it at all okay to harass the cc about it, and its important to remember they are real people who change! just because their content has changed over their career does not make it lesser or uninspired. if you dont like it anymore thats fine but dont make it their issue. okay thats all thank you

I wish Gem was not part of the mountain crew, now she's being assigned as Grian's designated sister for the season because fandom just can't let women and men be seen as friends goofing off together. Too many are already saying she and Etho are siblings as well.

I think the Grian fishing thing is fun but the way the fandom is so obsessed with it makes me kinda annoyed.
Gems whole thing is about creepy fish stuff and yet people make creepy fish stuff about Grian instead. He just spent weeks doing nothing but fishing, then he threw a fucking Harry Potter build under his base while Gem is actively trying to make her base creepy and she's started putting vibe reminders at the end of her videos and she's idk. Trying to make her stuff creepy and fishy.
Can I get some actually creepy fish stuff for Gem I'm starving here. I think they're a fun duo but I feel like it's going the way that people will only see this duo as creepy fish guy Grian and his plus one.

I'll be honest I'm really sick of the favouritism in the fandom and also how clique-y hermitcraft itself feels (which I think is creditable to how the fandom is always revolving around grian and his group(s)). sometimes it feels like the other hermits don't exist to people in this fandom lol

I cannot stand Skizz. He just comes across as a man with hidden anger issues that is very ruled by his emotions at the time and puts too much worth in the general public’s opinion, like a classic gamer guy who never had to reconcile with himself in any way. I am not surprised we moved past the trans thing so quickly but like…kind of disappointed. Idk we could at least stop praising him for everything??? And making him an angel? Why is he still seen as such a moral figure when he’s always shouting about something?

I miss the old fandom so fucking bad bro. The main tag was not so overrun with hermitshipping because most people were reasonably uncomfortable with it. Must have been the rise of other SMPs that actually are story and roleplay driven that made people think hermitcraft was the same. Now everyone seems to have convinced themselves the hermits are only characters to be played with and the dehumanization is deeply unsettling. Does nobody else find it disturbing how common theres comments like "I forget these are 30 and 40 year olds with degrees and families"? But of course people will make any justification they need to keep up their own fun. People will also read this and think I just need to step out and thats fine, I've already found the broader fandom uninhabitable for ages. I just wish that maybe one day people would take their own step back and think a little harder about how they treat hermitcraft and the hermits.

any time i see a hotguy au i get excited but every time when i see its another au where its either about cuteguy or its a college au i get disappointed again.
glad people are having fun but please i just wanna read about an actual adult living an adult life while also being a superhero. i dont need to read about the 100th college au.
also i dont understand the hype around cuteguy. grian never even wore the skin. dont get me wrong the skin looks cool and i think the idea of cuteguy is fun but scar is RIGHT THERE. hotguy is RIGHT THERE. hes been such a menace it makes me kinda annoyed when i see another hotguy au thats about grian whos the villain while hotguy is the good guy. at least make it about poultry man if anything.
im just very annoyed when i see a hotguy au thats about cuteguy when cuteguy was barely canon. if you wanna make a hotguy au grian centric at least make him poultry man and make it into a poultry man au.
sorry to everyone who likes this but oh my god hotguy was a MENACE. he kills people FOR FUN. HE WOULD NOT BE A GOOD GUY. hed call himself a hero but he absolutely isnt one.
(im a lil hater i know, do whatever you want, have fun. i just needed to vent my frustration about this)
