About SNK & Levihan
Dears, I write and I just do that. Even though I have my own thoughts on SNK, it's not my topic to talk about it, I don't feel qualified, when there are great bloggers. I follow @micia08, in regards to Levihan and @momtaku, on SNK. Their opinions are very interesting, as well as their open mind to explore other lines of thought and their positive encouragement. And through them, I have explored other bloggers. That excites and motivates me, which I really appreciate.
But today I want to share on two topics.
1) SNK is a universe in which the real threat of extinction causes people to react in many different ways, in order to survive. For me, the best attitude is that of Hange, the person who seeks knowledge to eliminate the threat. Not a knowledge to destroy, per se, but to UNDERSTAND. A constructive attitude.
I have read in some forums, many comments from people who justified the deeds that Eren is committing in the manga. The enthusiasm with which they embrace the slaughter and justify it’s terrifying. You can't help but read certain things, but if it’s possible, we need to steer clear of those comments. For mental health. However, don’t forget that they exist.
In our world we don’t have titans, but we have people who run over and engulf other people, before the impassive gaze of others. Are there good guys? Are there bad guys? Who would dare to point out each other? To judge them? To condemn them? To punish them? To value their lives? I remember the phrase from Gandalf to Frodo in the movie "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring": "Can you decide who deserves to live and who does not?"
I see, with some horror, that there are people who are willing to do it. Some will say “It's fiction! This does not happen in the real world ”. I can only look at what is happening today and not wonder if our answers to a fiction are not also the answers to a real world. Are we the victims, the executioners or the ones who look to the side? I feel like Armin and Reiner, with their share of guilt, because regardless of the side we are on, we have responsibility for the events that occur in this world.
When a work has the strength to challenge your current actions, it’s when you know that you are facing a great work. That’s what I love about this manga. SNK has given me many hours of reading and fruitful discussion with people close to me, and has allowed me to learn the interesting thoughts of people from different parts of the world.
2) I belong to the Levihan fandom, because I ship Hange and Levi. I have plenty of evidence for their relationship to excite me and I will not go into details about this. It’s a personal decision and I’m not interested in convincing anyone, but I do like to share my enthusiasm for it.
When I read destructive comments from the fandom, whatever the ship, in which they literally destroy the aspirations, hopes and spirits of the other, I can only feel sorry and want to not be there. Like when you find yourself in the middle of a horde of zombies and ups! you have to go back, without making noise, to avoid being eaten.
For me, all chips are welcome, because they bring happiness to the fandom. And they do no harm to anyone.
I wanted to be brief, but I got excited. Sorry for the extensión.
Thank you and be happy! Have a nice Sunday!
