Day 2 of being stuck in this ... Not-Mafia Town. Could it even be considered a town? There were way too many people here and way too many enormous buildings that were bizarrely free of graffiti mentioning “mafia” or “cod” or “this belongs to me now and I’ll beat you up if you as much as look at it”.
Mu did what she could to stay tucked out of the way for now, weaving in and out of various alleyways and making her way to places where she’d be able to observe and not be bothered by anyone unless they looked up, which thankfully most people didn’t. She sat at the edge of some random building, just slightly obscured by a weird decorative gargoyle statue in the shape of a squirrel - yeah, she didn’t know what was up with that either. Brows furrowed together, she scribbled down whatever came to mind into a teeny yellow notepad, only bringing it up in front of her when she considered her list complete:
- find whoever brought me here - murder TURN THEM into a spaceship with time piece - go home - turn them back and THEN murder them - defeat the mafia?
She huffed audibly at the last point, rubbing her hood where the bump left by the Time Piece was. Everything that happened after Hat Kid arrived to Mafia Town left her in a daze and a pot of mixed emotions - happy ones, confused ones, angry ones. Mu set the notepad down, paying but a glance to the streets below-
And stopped. She could’ve sworn she saw that very same Hat Kid walking out of that university across the street. She squinted, and surely enough, there she was - did she see her too? Mu didn’t care and didn’t think about that, instead stuffing the notepad into some pocket of hers and climbing down, bouncing on some strangers back to soften her fall, “Hero coming through, move out of the way!”
And off she went.
