His old cap had endured much, but after that near scrape with poachers in South America, Haddock quickly realized that the poor thing needed decent care. However, the problem was that there weren’t many haberdasheries willing to work on “a tattered and worthless piece of fabric”. Tch. So much for going there when Cuthbert needed his hat repaired in the future!
Fortunately, someone recommended a different person to tend to his torn up cap, leading him to stand awkwardly in front of a decent-sized shop right next to a building blaring out loud music of some modern genre.
Bracing himself against possible high-class insults, Haddock knocked on the door.

“Oh, well he’s a new friend of mine! Say hi, Herald.” She’s referring to the BRIGHT RED ladybug perched on her knuckle.
'Psst' and 'Mwah'
Psst: Three things that I’ve always wanted to tell you.
“I really hate when you use glitter in costumes because it ends up all over the House. Also, you never put your tea cups in the sink so I find them, surprise surprise, all over the House. But you’re a wonderful friend Tarrant and I’m proud of how far you’ve come.
Mwah: Three people I’d like to kiss.
“Cheshire...Cheshire, and Cheshire.”
"Don't test me."
“Test you? Don’t tell me there is a test coming up? I didn’t study!!” Hatter exclaimed in a cry of panic to the other Hatter. “What is it about? Wonderland? Tea Parties? Hats? Please tell me it is about hats!”
@hatterofsass It had been days since the hatter and the hound dog had gotten home from the concert, days since they had started having sex where they would end up staying the night on each other's rooms. Even so they hadn't defined their relationship. It was one night where they were cuddled up on the couch with the house all to themselves that Bayard just had to finally ask. "Tarrant? What exactly are we?" If he hadn't asked then he might have burst. He wanted the hatter as his companion, his boyfriend. "Are we an item?"
