The way Tintin and Haddock meet Skut (by shooting him out of the sky, holding him at penknife-point, then becoming ride or die amigos) never fails to make me laugh.

He’d bolted into a standing position at that news. “Och those thievin’ rodents! Kidnappers! Canine kidnappers!!”

He didn’t stay standing while ranting for long though, pipe clenched between teeth as he checked his coat for–damn, didn’t have the car keys on him.

“Give me a moment tae get th’ keys lad, an’ maybe get wotcha need tae help look furrim!” he called over his shoulder as he went to grab them in the hallway, coming back a minute or so later. “D’ye remember whair ye were when they took ‘m, an’ ‘n which direction?”

“Captain…” The reporter spoke gently upon noticing Haddock’s temper. A brief pause, fishing something through one of his pockets by the Captain’s question. Tintin pulled out a note that was written in German, with the address at the back of the paper.

“One of the men dropped this by accident. I believe they took him to Germany, Captain. It’s located in the north, that’s what it says in the paper.” He said as he showed him the paper, “I still remember the way, but I know a shortcut.”

“Tha’ll be quite a drive,” he noted, gesturing for the reporter to follow him to the car. “Ye know ‘f any of ‘em were armed? Or wot they even wanted?”

Tintin didn’t exactly have a short list of enemies...

8. Has anyone hurt/betrayed you?

I'd be lying if I said no one had, but I think what hurts most of all is when someone just... stops trying in a friendship, especially one that spanned almost 10 years with a lot of RPing. It wasn't anything bad happened, but this friend just... slowly stopped talking to me. As the friendship was long-distance, I had no problem with waiting a week or two for replies, but eventually it went from weeks to months without word. And instead of doing anything about it when I brought it up, the friend just... suggested that we end the friendship. Even now, when I know it's not my fault, it still feels like I could have done something to keep it from falling apart.

15. What is your biggest pet peeve?

Not gonna lie, this is a tough one because I know I'm impatient and try VERY HARD to wait politely for responses (especially since I can sometimes take a while depending on things). But one of the things that DEFINITELY annoys me, even if it shouldn't, is when people ignore spelling/grammar errors. I was in a few spelling bees as a kid and LOVED my English classes, so that made me a bit of a stickler for good spelling and grammar. Do be aware I don't mean this toward accents though; there's misspelling stuff to convey an accent (which I do a LOT for several characters, not just Haddock), and then there's just not noticing when your words are underlined in red or something doesn't seem right with the sentence.
