Eureka Springs Fiber Festival haul and notes!
The festival itself was about to same size as Fiber Christmas, with a lot of cross over in vendors. I didn't get to take classes this year but if I ever want to we have to stay at a hotel cause the drive in was fucking torturous with the curves.
The yeti and MiL both got hand forged scissors for I think $10 each, they were too big for my hands so I didn't get a set. Saw how heckin tiny a EEW Nano is, kept telling the yeti is would fit in my pocket and I need one. He remains unconvinced.
The Dreamlit and extra bobbins was only $10 so I really should have bought more but c'est la vie. The baggies are 4 bamboo in emerald, corral, and different shades of gold. Also a baggie of gold firestar. All, in theory, for a Sleep Token inspired blend I would like to do. The baggies from from wooly boogers, I believe $2.50 for the firestar and $3 for all of the bamboo.
The batt is 6.2 oz from Apothefaery, she was honestly talking too fast for me to remember what she said it was but it feels like the same super fine American wool she uses in her braids. It cost $62
Two braids from HoneyGold Acres, both 80% S. American wool 20% viscose, $23 each. The wool is more coarse than the Apothefaery batt but of course still lovely. I also got a 28g Snyder cross arm spindle from them, $41.
I got a banksia pod drop spindle, something I've wanted for ages from Renee's Revolutions, $35
Spent a lot more time driving than actually there but had fun and MiL said she's like to go next year and maybe even do a class at Fiber Christmas this July
