the adaptation of the princess diaries books by meg cabot are so funny because they do capture the essence but also it's VERY loosely based on the books, like so many people don't even know that it's a ten book series, and that the second movie has nothing to do with the books anymore. what do you mean mia is falling in love with a random lord and is not together with the love of her life, michael, in the end?? oh and don't get me started that the movie KILLED HER DAD when in the books he is alive and well lmao
