2. Is your character argumentative? Are they likely to be the one starting an argument?
meina isnt afraid to assert herself and has a strong inclination for thinking she knows best, so she can get into some intense arguments- but she folds easily if someone starts getting at her insecurities, like her struggle with dark magic at the start of the story
rath is a fighter- but only in the physical sense. shes prickly for sure, but when it comes to actual arguments she tries to avoid them. not that surprising with her upbringing taken into account lol
4. What's something your character is particularly bad at?
meina has resigned herself to the fact that she simply cannot dance as much as she tries. thats fine, during the fancy parties someone of her status inevitably gets invited to she can just socialize with people while politely declining invitations to dance.
rath is a decent enough archer, but its only for hunting- she wouldnt last at all in battle armed with only a bow. she can take some dudes out if she sneaks up on them and theyre sitting still but moving targets in the midst of a fight? hell no
8. Is your character open with their emotions?
oh you were having a giggle when you included this one i bet. meina tends to keep her negative emotions to herself with the mindset that as a future magelord its up to her to shoulder her people's burdens, her own problems are just things she needs to deal with on her own.
rath represses everything to an unhealthy degree. she was raised by people who would punish her for perceived weakness, so its easier to just lock it all away and pretend not to feel anything. she fears being vulnerable- its brought her nothing but pain in the past.
12. Name another character you have who you wouldn't want your character to interact with, for any reason.
there would be blood if meina were ever to meet annika. mean, unpleasant, and violent, shes largely everything meina isnt, but worst of all they both have the misfortune of thinking theyre always right. their battle would be hell on earth
its the opposite situation with rath where she should stay far, far away from tynasa bcuz they are painfully alike.
13. Your character isn't feeling good. Do they try to hide it, or do they want sympathy? Do they care if people can tell regardless?
meina's brain breaks a little when someone tries to offer sympathy- no thats not your job, thats hers, shes supposed to help other people deal with stuff not the other way around! she feels terrible for 'burdening others' and will usually fiercely deny it and say shes fine if others try to ask if shes feeling down.
rath isnt used to being offered sympathy at all and is always startled when people do it. she doesnt feel like its something she deserves. that + her fear of vulnerability means she usually pushes away anyone who tries.
30. What's something your character does that might be described as cute?
meina sometimes talks to animals or inanimate objects like they're people for fun. shes the type to apologize to a chair after walking into it.
rath, shockingly, has a major sweet tooth.
