ooc: trying not to die, thank you! Uhhh sorry about that rp and my general inactivity. School, mostly. The flu, too. I’ve been waking up overstimulated the past few days, and I keep intending to do things and write and I get myself so excited and then I completely lose interest. It’s been sucky. I’m trying, though!!

I’ve been stressing myself out and causing stupid anxious worries over advertising my writing account and stuff— really been beating myself up in some crazy inner turmoil recently.

But yk what?? I’ll get to the next chapter eventually. All part of the character arc!

Idk but it was pretty small when I first joined and now it’s

It’s cool to see! Makes me sentimental, too, and sometimes it freaks me out. Sometimes I don’t even know if my memory is right about how small the community was at first, but it definitely wasn’t as it was now.

I don’t know.

All this to say, whether I’ve interacted with you on this blog (or any of mine in general) or not, I’m proud to be sharing an interest with you, and I love you all lots.

So.. I was looking on Wikipedia and apparently Tiresias was a woman for 7 YEARS at one point-

ooc: YES!!! I can’t say this is mythologically canon, but at least for my rps, Tir got married and had Manto when they were a woman. It was around when Manto was probably 1 or 2 years old that Hera struck them down and Zeus gave them their gift of prophecy =D

(Ik that this is like a completely random question but I'm curious, if Caleb were to try to take a picture of Tiresias with their phone, would it actually show Tiresias? Or like, would it just be some glowing blob or nothing at all or whatever?)

ooc: that’s a really good question!! Honestly, I imagine it’d show him partially, but it’s very blobbed out and misty. Think of it like taking a Live Photo and putting it on Long Exposure! A photo wouldn’t simply just be him, but the ghosts and spirits of all those who have received prophecies from him; curtesy of the Chorus

These two look most similar to how I imagine Tir would appear in photos; distorted and with no certain form

But these are what I mean by multiple souls also getting caught in the photo, even though there is only one intended subject.

Look, I’ll talk all day on my main about war strategies and machines and how cool that is and crazy people like Finland’s White Death (Simon Hayha) who scared massive war forces and pulled off some wild stuff and managed to live.

But I’m also going to talk about how many songs come from war. Christmas songs, “Do Your Ears Hang Low,” etc. It’s some really cool history! But then, if I’m gonna just talk about history, why not post this on my main? Well …

Imagine thousands—millions—of tired men, half of whom are so unbelievably homesick, they don’t want to fight anymore.

Finally, after 10 years, they get to go home (some of them)

Some arrive later * cough * Odysseus * cough * but some arrive just as close as on time they can be

And, of course, some never arrive

But that’s besides the point, because aside from lasting so many years in a war, y’know what they also did?

Traveled.
