uh hello savings
i am addicted to online makeup shopping. and online shopping in general. but i just bought a 54 dollar foundation for 8 dollars. holly hautelook.com
My shopping secrets revealed: shhh
I find that I'm often telling my friends about where I scored my latest fashion or beauty find. There are so many different online options now that it can be overwhelming and it's difficult to know where to look. There are several online shops that I've been frequenting for the past several years to grow my wardrobe on a very small budget. There are lots of ways to get designer duds on a budget. Here are a few of my favorites and no, I'm not a paid spokesperson, I just love these sites and wanted to share the fashion love.
Gilt.com and Hautelook.com
These are designer flash sale sites. They have designer items that are typically 60% off retail. They only last for three days so if you like something you have to act fast. They also have beauty products, travel packages and even wine now, so there are lots of options to make your life more fabulous. You have to be invited though, so click through my link to join. You're welcome!
ASOS.com
I discovered this site last year and I'm obsessed. You get free shipping on any order worldwide and students get a 10% discount. They are my go to place for affordable dresses and tops that look high end. They carry their own label as well as designer goods so you can mix and match the high-end with affordable.
Renttherunway.com
This is a hidden treasure for anyone needing formal attire for an event. This site allows you to pick a designer dress and instead of buying it for $2,000+, you can rent it for a few days for as little as $60. I love this because we all want a designer gown for a formal event but knowing that we will probably only wear it once keeps us from being able to spend the money. They send you the dress in your size as well as a size down and a size up from the one you order to guarantee fit. Then after you have worn it you send it back (they even do the dry cleaning for you). I'll be taking advantage of this for several events coming up in the fall!
Modcloth.com
If you're into the vintage look, here's a site that sells clothing that is vintage inspired. I love channeling a vintage look on some days but I never seem to find the right items at true vintage stores. So, this is a place I go to buy affordable pieces that have that look.
Zara.com
This is a great store that we unfortunately don't have here in Kansas City. It's essentially a European version of H&M. They have great clothing that looks high-end with out the high-end price tag. It's my go to place for classic tops and pants.
Birchbox.com
This is a site that sends its members luxe beauty samples tailored to your needs each month so that you can try products and eventually find the one that is right for you. I don't have the money to waste on luxury skin care without knowing first that it is the right product for me, so this site takes care of that by letting you try it before you buy it.
Adoreme.com
This is the same concept as Justfab.com except you get new lingerie each month. You take a quiz to determine your style and the "personal stylists" for Adore Me create a closet for you. It's only $39.95 a month and you can pick and choose what months you actually want to purchase. It's a great concept to get cute new pieces each month. When you are wearing the right undergarments your outfit looks even better.
Shopbop.com
Many of you may already know about this site but I thought it was worth mentioning because they have the best selection of contemporary designer clothing online. They carry all the newest items and their look books are a great inspiration for styling ideas.
Net-a-porter.com
This is the go-to place for high-end designer collections. You can find pieces that came directly off the runway. You need to have a lot of cash to shop here but if you live in Kansas City where there are very few designer stores, this is the place to go.
These are some of my favorite places to shop. What is your favorite online shopping spot?

It's Here!
"It's here! It's here! It's really really here! No time to joke or play. Let's rip it open so we can say, it's really really here!!!"
That's the song I've been singing for 5 minutes straight.
Why? You ask. Well, I'll tell you.
I just got my package from Hautelook.com that's full of Urban Decay makeup!!!!
Hautelook is a website where they have new sales on collections/brands everyday where you get 50%-70% off! it's amazing and totally free to join, the only thing you have to pay for are the items you order, obviously. x
Urban Decay
Urban Decay is celebrating their 15th Anniversary with a sale on Hautelook.com. Everything is practically half off! I think I just died and went to heaven!!!
