Ted, Jane holding on his hand and Silas wrapped around his leg, felt his smile grow a bit more as Steph began to explain herself in between her greeting. She stated she'd brought games and gifts, planned on ordering pizza too. It made him chuckle a little and he shook his head, grinning wide at his sister-in-law. God. He wondered if Pete ever realized just how lucky he was to have Steph. They all were, really. Steph was a great person and her love for the kids was appreciated. She truly was cool aunt steph. Her always coming over to watch the kids when he and Emma had things to do or just wanted to go on a date? There wasn't enough thank yous or appreciations they could give it felt like.
"Hey, no need for that," He assured with a small laugh and a shifted motion to set Jane's feet on the ground. She released her dad in order to run to Steph, the oldest child of the brood quickly getting her arms around the woman's legs. A squeal left Jane and he nodded down at her, "She's in a great mood today, they all are. Henry may already be asleep for the moment, but he'll probably be awake soon for a bottle." He tipped his head towards the stairs, "Emma had him last. Pretty sure he was sleeping when I last saw them." Pause then a genuine, "Thanks for coming, really. I give you shit, but we've been looking forward to you watching the kids so we could go out for a couple hours."
