for all its flaws the MCU genuinely had incredible potential, it had a good cast and good directors, it was building on and fleshing out the source material in interesting new ways, it was character-driven and the characters were compelling, it was building an intertwined world and for a while it really did work, and despite its current reputation even the visuals could be striking and the humour could be effective. but it built up these interesting stories and it squandered them over and fucking over because above all else the MCU is run by spineless fucking cowards
