Why I gave it all away…
There was an old lady who has a beautiful garden in front of her house, every day she start her day tending and watering every plants. She has a variety of flowers in every color and she loved them all. Her neighbors adored her garden as well and she get used of them voicing it out when they passed. But there is a particular woman who always stopped by in the morning for a couple of minutes just to admired her whole garden without saying anything before heading back to her way to the station. Every morning she do that, the old lady got curious so one morning she woke up early and prepared a good bouquet of fresh flowers and waited for that particular woman to arrived. When she did, the old lady greeted her with a smile and hand her the bouquet of assorted flowers, the woman face beam with happiness upon receiving the old lady’s handwork. she start kissing and hugging her while uttering a word of thanks, the old women get flattered and satisfied about what she did; a beautiful smile planted on her face as she watched her walked away. Until the woman stopped at the corner of the street and start giving away the flowers to all passer by - one by one. The old lady frown deeper and deeper as the woman continued to give away all the flowers and she remembered how she woke up early, went to her garden and choose a perfectly bloomed pieces of flower just to make a beautiful bouquet. When the last piece of flowers has been given away she decided to confront the woman.
Old lady: Why did you gave it all away? Don’t you like the bouquet I made for you?
The woman just looked down, the old lady continue to asked her with her voice starting to rise.
Old lady: I saw you admiring my garden almost every morning, so I thought you love my flowers as much as I do.
Woman: I do admire your garden and I love your flowers. I think they’re beautiful.
The woman answered sheepishly still looking down.
Old lady: Then why did you gave it all away?
Instead of answering the old lady the woman shown her two hands. It’s shaking and unable to open entirely.
Woman: I couldn’t hold anything with this hands without dropping it and breaking them on the process. I’m afraid that I would ruin your handwork if I insist on carrying them.
The old lady noticed that the women hugs the pieces of paper that once hold the entire bouquet instead of just grabbing it with her bare hands.
Old lady: Then why you didn’t just give it to a single person not dividing it to everyone?
Woman: I was so happy to received the bouquet you made for me and I thought, it is much better if every one received a piece of that happiness.
The old lady hug the woman and told her that from now on she would make a bouquet for her everyday.
