Why do we make plans? I guess to provide structure to our lives. Direction and focus. It is said by those wise people we refer to as "they", that if something doesn't go accordingly to plan, possibly it was not meant to be.

When I have wanted something in life and it didn't come to fruition, it was hard to accept. I'm talking about things beyond one's control. Believe it or not, some things are and will be out of reach. You can do everything "right", but still at the end, the result will not be what you expected. It will most certainly leave you to face everything for which you did not plan.

Yah, great in the movie but still a blow to the psyche.
No matter how brief or long the ripples may be around, if we SEE them as such, they can be better used as building blocks for a quality life.
