I chose my team under the self-imposed scenario of fighting an army (titans, giants, Primordials, take your pick)
To quote Tite Kubo speaking through his character Shunsui Kyōraku, "Honor will not protect the world. I do not believe that using evil to defeat evil is itself an evil act." Loki and Jack are here because they're sleazy, underhanded, sinister bastards(/affectionate). I don't want someone who is pulling punches because "It's the honorable thing to d—" Shut Your Bitch Ass Up.
Sasaki, Thor, and Poseidon are in the vanguard. Thor, go have fun. Hopefully, the enemy will provide you with some entertainment. I trust the fine aged wine (Sasaki) to simply take care of himself. Poseidon... on the other hand, may pull punches because he doesn't want to expend too much effort into this—"pride" and all that. Now, I can't tell him what to do, but considering he lost an arm, lost his OTHER arm, and finally bit trident to try and beat Sasaki, he's not going to purposefully disappoint me. Or else, no sex for the rest of the year. And I'm tattling to HADES—he's just a single mom with two jobs 😭. Yes, I'm going there, Poseidon.
Beelzebub can't die by ordinary, conventional means. You'd think I'd put him in the vanguard, but NO. The token mad scientist must be the token mad scientist. I don't know what you're gonna unleash into the world to get the job done, but release it anyway. I'm trusting you Not to die from it and kill it yourself if it goes haywire. Unless, it does kill you. Then, I guess, I'll ask Thor to kill it.
Simo and Apollo are probably the only NORMAL ones here. And I'm using them for solely long range combat. Apollo is also the God of Medicine, which I akin to the healer of a group/guild. If Apollo goes down, everyone's going down with him. He will also "always meet expectations" or in this case exceed my expectations. ♡ You Better, Apollo!
Simo... can do what he wants. He's a simple—deeply traumatized—man. I'm sure he'll fight for the safety of his home country against titans, giants, Primordials, whatever, take your pick. 🙄
I took into consideration their personalities, likes/dislikes. I'm not a "powerscaler" dudebro, and I say that with vitriol in my voice. So, if you're going to argue with me about my choices and "character feats," go to Reddit.
On a lighter note, my local Barnes & Noble put out the latest (ENG) volume of Record of Ragnarok #19, and I'm very pleased. I thought it came out later this month.
