❝ i know sweetie ― ❞ helen sighed softly as her daughter cried. she stroked her hair and rubbed her back softly. while helen loved having the opportunity to go back to hero work, and that what she did helped so many out in the end, she felt like she had MISSED so much with her family. from being there for jack jack’s first powers and to be there for violet, these were important things she needed to be around for. being super was great and all that, but at this point in her life, being a MOTHER would take priority over all that. she wished that she could balance the two better. perhaps in time to come she’d learn now that she doesn’t have to be out in the open all the time trying to make supers legal again. ❝ it’s not going to be fun. knowing you won’t be able to share those first few moments with him. but you still have the chance to make plenty more. you just gotta get out there, be CONFIDENT, you gotta make the first move. memory erasing isn’t an exact science there’s always a small chance he’ll remember again. ❞
“i REALLY sorry about tony, honey. i didn’t think--” he stops mid-sentence. because, truly, he didn’t, did it? he was always IMPULSIVE and reckless. seldom thinking of the consequences of his actions. he didn’t think things would turn out like this. and he wants to do whatever he can to remedy his relationship with his daughter, but he’s a LOSS as to how. she’s barely speaking to him. will she even listen to his pleas for a word and his apologies? “i just, i know i screwed up, and i wanna F I X this. vi, please. tell me what i can do to fix this.”
