A few months ago, I gave an English consultation for an A.I. engineer who had to do a presentation on Zoom to people around the world for this system he invented. He brought over these lovely Japanese puddings that came in these cute little glass bottles that we all shared. I washed them and put them in the cabinet. Mrs S asks me, “why are you keeping these?” I tell her, they’re nice and then go, “trust me, you’ll thank me one day.” It hasn’t even occurred to me that she’s been keeping our thyme fresh in one of those.
