This entry cabinet was such a fun build. My aunt commissioned it with no design constraints other than mixed woods and a little live edge. There was no hard deadline so I had some time to play with the design along the way. The top is elm Burl from a local sawyer. The case is all claro walnut from Santa Margarita that was milled in the 90’s. I used reclaimed cedar for the back and the base is oxidized white oak. I turned the brass pulls on my wood lathe. . . . . #hawkandstone #losangeles #brentwood #clarowalnut #elm #whiteoak #cedar #furniture #californiamodern #modern #interiordesign #nakashima #liveedge #casegood (at South Central LA) https://www.instagram.com/p/B24fo39gACO/?igshid=18qxc3kf3jyyc
