My Opinion on;

Character in general: Hermione my darling!! Although I'm quite a bit disenchanted with HP and absolutely hate Just Kidding Rowling, I became very quickly attached to Hermione back when I first watched the first movie, and later read the book. Her dedication to knowledge is so admirable and I always found it so endearing how passionately and confidently she'd share information with others; and on that note, the eye-rolls and teasing she'd encounter as a result was something I related to and sympathised with. And of course, Hermione just has the biggest heart; I can't not like a character who cares so much about not just her friends, but also important issues like the discrimination in the magical world.

How they play them: I think Rose plays a brilliant Hermione!! JKR's habit of changing aspects of a character and pretending she always intended for them to be that way really pisses me off, but I love how Rose takes the black Hermione portrayal and actually thinks about how her race would effect her actions and how she views the world. Also! Portraying Hermione as autistic makes me so happy! That girl is neurodivergent for sure and Rose doesn't shy away from talking about Mione's autism and everything it encompasses. Also just..her dialogue is always spot on. I can really hear Hermione's voice in Rose's writing!

The Mun: Rose is always so lovely to chat to!! She's always been friendly and welcoming, and discussing character interactions with her is always fun! I also think it's admirable how she balances her other rp blogs too!!

Is it me or was it fun watching Zuko be super petty by poking Sokka with his own staff and then seeing Sokka turn the tables on Zuko? >:D

IT WAS!! It always hits me how simultaneously funny and gut-wrenching that first fight between them is because on one hand, Sokka is literally 100% ready to die in this moment to protect his tribe, but he lacks actually fighting experience and Zuko is just not interested SDHSDF !! Like the way he just >;/ and broke Sokka's spear after poking him with it? And the fact that Sokka was like "you know what? fuck you" and did it back not even 24 hours later!! Like he really wanted to be like 'how does THAT feel, huh?!'

My Opinion on;

Character in general: So many to pick from!! So far I've interacted with Daeton and Mateo, and have plotted stuff for Todd, but when you're writing with Brei, you're guaranteed compelling, thought out characters no matter who you go for! Mateo was the first oc of theirs I wrote with and I was immediately hooked on his story; having this sweet, but self-conscious and passive character become in twined in this tragic accident, thus having him experience feelings of guilt and regret that have him begin an arc of questioning his company and learning to stand up for himself and his beliefs... Mateo's internal conflict was so vivid and raw, and his anxiety was so realistically portrayed and I loved every minute of him. Then getting into the others...I will never be over characters who start with nothing and fight with their damn teeth to make it, and Todd IS that character! Todd is so quick and playful and so chaotic and I always love having a cheeky read of his threads; i love how despite his insistence that he's not a hero, there's a clear soft side to him that cares deeply about others. And of course how can you not admire Todd's absolute resilience; even with the traumatic events of his life he never stops fighting for himself, and there's just something so satisfying about him cutting off his awful mother and finding love and acceptance with his grandparents, father and step-sister. And Daeton! I was hooked on the line 'he's the reason knights in fairytales ride white horses'. It's so fascinating watching this character spending lifetimes helping humanity in different ways, becoming a legend in many ways yet forgotten to time. There's also something so charming about this man who's leant a hand to aid mortal lives again and again being so dismissive and a bit of a douche at time SGFJHJGF. Though we know he has a soft heart...you just gotta get through some layers.

How they play them: Brei always has such distinct voices for every one of her muses, and it's actually so fun seeing the differences in how they talk and act. I especially love how they portray speech differences, such as Todd saying things like 'toots' and 'yer'. Each character feels unique, and it's admirable the amount of time, effort and love has been put into each one. (sidenote, but shout-out to @recordsstraight as well, who's also put in so much amazing work into this universe with their own fantastic characters.)

The Mun: Brei is always so understanding and warm! I was nervous to reach out to her back when they had a Li Shang blog, but they quickly relaxed me with their friendliness. Chatting with her is always pleasant, and it's always so nice to see the passion and love she has for her characters.

My Opinion on;

Character in general: Rain Mars...my moon my sun my peach my plum...I will never not be impressed by KC’s ability to create such engaging characters. They’ve put so much time and thought into the ACE universe and it truly shows in her replies; Rain’s story as an isolated girl in this cold, and often ruthless environment is so heart-breaking, especially as you see how it forces her to become stripped of humanity as the scientists rear her into this weapon, essentially. And although she becomes so strong in order to survive that environment, the fact that Rain also obeys so much to get even a sliver of praise from the people who stole her childhood is just gut-wrenching. It makes even more emotional post-ACE where she’s put back into the real world, the world she was told not to trust, and has to come to grips with a new reality. Despite how difficult it is, you absolutely root for Rain in her attempts to build relationships with her family that she has no memory of. (and you root for her in her badass vigilante work dsfhjsfhj)

How they play them:  Well since KC is Rain’s creator, there really isn’t anyone better to write her! No matter what verse she’s in, KC always portrays Rain with so much depth. They never shy away from portraying the extent to which ACE affected Rain (which is of course a lot considering she spent her formative years there), often showing her trust issues, struggles with establishing and maintaining relationships, and her recklessness. But on the flipside, we also get to see this awkward side to Rain as she figures things out, reminding us that despite how quickly she was forced to grow up, she’s still immature in other ways, such as in expressing vulnerability. Rain truly is a multi-faceted and I always love seeing what situations KC throws her in.

The Mun: KC is absolutely sweet!! I adore how eager she is to talks about Rain and her other characters, but also how willing she is to let others engage in her verse! It’s always so fun bouncing of them with character interactions, and they’re just always so welcoming and chatty, I love talking with her!

My Opinion on;

Character in general: Elsaaa! <3 Well like so many others, when Frozen came out back in ye old 2013 I really liked Elsa! I think her character is so interesting with how much internalized guilt and fear she has of herself, and how these feelings manifest in unhealthy coping mechanisms. It is quite heart-breaking to see, especially because at first she truly believes that she’s a danger to others and can’t have connections with other people, even though she wants to. And of course..I adore how it was the love she and Anna have for each other that gave her the strength to lift the winter <3

How they play them: Frost does a phenomenal job at portraying Elsa!! Although it’s not explicitly said in the movie(s), I think it’s clear Elsa struggles with depression and anxiety, and Frost never shies away from exploring Elsa’s mental health in her writing; on that note I also appreciate how even after the events of Frozen 1, Frost doesn’t portray her as “cured” of these; she still has bad days but also has better means of coping and loved ones to help her. And I also love how Frost shows Elsa’s more silly, childish side too! Her Elsa is fun-loving and kind as well as powerful, and it’s always so heart-warming to see her comfortable enough to mess around! Frost’s Elsa is so regal and kind and interacting with her, or even just reading her threads when they pop up on my dash is always a delight.

The Mun;  Frost is so sweet! I’ll also never be tired of seeing them gush over Elsa; it’s absolutely so lovely to see just how much this character means to them, and it truly reflects in the amount of care put into her portrayal. In fact, I haven’t seen Frozen 2, and didn’t have plans to before, but since interacting with Frost, their love of Elsa made me want to! It’s now on my Disney+ list :)

4. Well I love all of the gaang dearly, but Sokka became my favourite character very quickly when I started watching ATLA; he's funny of course, but I loved his intelligence, and his complicated relationship with himself regarding being a man, a protector, and how that effected his interactions with his family and friends..i just think he's neat!!

17. My first muse EVER was an oc that was basically a self-insert for the Tokyo Ghoul universe SGHDFKDGF. But on tumblr, it was Pepper from Good Omens! (who i plan to return to at some point!)

39. 'He ain't heavy he's my brother' by The Hollies. Despite it being about looking after a younger brother, this song really encapsulates that older sibling dedication that Sokka has towards Katara especially, but also to Aang and Toph. Makes me eMOTIONAL!!

Even when he's alone, Sokka often thinks in plurals; he won't think "I'm gonna do this" but rather "we're gonna do this". He isn't aware of it a lot the time, since so much of his identity is ingrained in being an older brother, a protector, so his thoughts reflect that.

Post-war, Sokka's favourite thing to do when he travels is to immerse himself in the other nations cultures. I'm talking hours spent at libraries, engaging in long conversations with elders in the streets, even studying at universities when he can. As cautious as he is about the unknown, Sokka's brain is a sponge, and the skills he was able to pick up during the war only made him more eager to keep learning. But not just that, he's also passionate about sharing knowledge from the SWT, doing lectures, and assisting in education programmes in the other nations to help keep rebuild the legacies of his tribe.
