The first time Hawkodile and Sharkimoth met was actually when Hawkodile caught Sharkimoth admiring him from afar. Sharkimoth explained herself that she was actually an artist and that she was a fan of drawing strong characters because she finds them very admirable WHICH actually led Hawkodile and Sharkimoth to get to know each other and Hawkodile become a model for Sharkimoth!
Sharkimoth was actually the first who fell for Hawkodile because she was like "WAIT, SO DO I ADMIRE HIM LIKE I DO WITH ALL MY FRIENDS OR DO I ACTUALLY LOVE *LOVE* HIM? Nah, I just admire him... or do I love him? I AM SO CONFUSED ACK!"
Hawkodile, when they first met, treated Sharkimoth more like a big fan of his until they actually started to bond with each other throughout the drawing sessions and outside of that. Unlike Sharkimoth who had more like a slow realization of like "Oh shit i might be getting feelings for him", for him it was more like a single meaningful moment that made him realize "Oh, I really love her".
AND NOW IF YOU´RE WONDERING WHAT THAT MOMENT IS: It was actually after he started to realize how much joy and happiness her hobby and just other small things that others might never notice bring joy to her. Aswell as how kind hardworking she was to bring joy to not only herself but also others WHICH is also what he strives for. It was really like a "wow... she´s lovely" moment for him.
AND THEN THEY WERE BOTH LIKE "Oh I love them but they probably don´t see me the same way."
