HARRY AND TAYLOR AT THE GRAMMYS TONIGHT IM CRYING ELWOSMSLSKSOAPW
but treacherous is a love song not a abusive one.
"I wrote ‘Treacherous’ with Dan Wilson, and we came up with a way to say, you know, ‘This is dangerous and I realize that I might get hurt if I go through with this, if I move forward with you. But… but I want to.’ You know? It’s like that kind of conflicted feeling of it being a risk every time you fall in love — especially with certain types of people. [Laughs] That was a song that I’m really proud of, because it’s got this bridge that sounds like a second chorus. It’s got all these big vocals, and it’s kind of the intensity of that moment when you’re deciding to let yourself fall in love with someone."
Also won't stop till its over pointed at either harry or jake
literally LITERALLY i'm begging you for reading comprehension
the entire quote you've just given is dripping with "this was a bad idea and i let myself fall for this guy and i wanted to explain the feeling of falling for this guy that was a really bad idea"
"especially with certain types of people" "this is dangerous" "I realize that I might get hurt if I go through with this"
It's LITERALLY "my mother accused me of losing my mind but I swore I was fine." the song dives into the feeling of danger and why she KNEW he was trouble! she heard everyone tell her to run and she ignored when they said that. she told her mother she was fine! but she went through with it anyway. the song processes THAT emotion.
it's a love song, but it's not a happy one. it's a song about fear and danger and making choices based on an adrenaline rush rather than an actual connection. and in fact, the song actually questions how much of it was choice. the whole second verse "I can't decide if it's a choice, getting swept away. I hear the sound of my own voice asking you to stay." the next lines "all we are is skin and bone trained to get along. forever going with the flow, but you're friction." spells it out SO CLEARLY!!! she's not with this guy because she likes HIM, she's with him because he's different and makes her feel something. and what she feels is treachery and danger. she's afraid and that's what she's running to. the WHOLE SONG is about the seduction of treachery. NOT the love for this person, or even the like of this person. She's not being seduced by THIS PERSON. she's being seduced by the FEELING THAT SHE COULD GET HURT
like PLEASE just think about what you're saying and what she's saying for 5 seconds. ikwyt and treacherous tell a VERY clear story
OKAY SO THE 1 IS GONNA BE THE NEXT SINGLE HAYLORIES HOW ARE WE FEELING???
this isn’t a joke this is my life
feeling soooooo normal
+ what might have been.
Taylor cheering up for Harry will always live rent free on my mind.
