The fabric slides off his nose with ease upon the announcement, Hyungwon already blinking fast to focus his eyes. It was somewhat eerie and quiet, which is why he can’t help the shudder that runs through his back when he zeroes in on a figure beside him. He doesn’t even remember agreeing to being on the show (let alone an old psychiatric hospital), he just was. Something about the fact that putting scaredy cats on a horror special increases the views at least thirty percent. Looking back on it now, Hyungwon thinks it’s a stupid justification for his now trembling knees.
“H..hello.” for the first few minutes he remembers that they actually assigned teams for the missions. he started weakly, voice low just so he didn’t seem that eager, but in reality he was overjoyed to find someone with him (didn’t matter who it was or if they were a teammate at all). He stays silent for a longer while, awaiting a response, or at least another clue to what he was supposed to do. “You’d think they’d give us a flashlight…or at least a match.” Of course he was scared, scared of being in the dark, unnecessarily scared of the presence beside him and scared he’d be one of those characters in horror movies that never make it out. It’s the uncertainty of the situation, the way he was whisked so quickly into pitch-black that scares him the most. It takes everything in him to stop him from screaming at every little sound.
Hyungwon stands up, hands spread out in the air hoping to at least find something useful. It’s hard to see without his glasses, let alone in a dark room but he supposes they were somewhat outside. Or near the outside, since it was chilly enough. “Try and find a light, or an exit…or something that might be useful.” he instructs, furrowed brows and all as he continues his scavenger hunt. It doesn’t take too long for him to find something, eventually tripping on a bag somewhere between his blind scouring. “Hey, hey, There’s something here!”
