Forest fires. The one that you saw there was the whole side of a mountain. But yeah, forest fires are littering Western Canada as of right now. There are/were a total of 186 forest fires in the Northwest Territories, though I don't know if any have been put out, I just know that that's the total count. There are a couple in British Columbia, and then finally eleven in my lovely province of Alberta. That fire is just a few hours away from me, and it's spreading quickly. Evacuations have happened in a place near the B.C./Alberta border, and a lot of people are being told to watch out for evacuation warnings. It's pretty scary. And it's also scary because I remember having driven down that highway a few times in the past.
Not to mention that in my province, aside from fires, there was a pretty big murder (they don't happen often up here in Canada) in my province, as well as a guy who attempted to cross a river in my old town, and then got swept away. His body was found this morning.
