Hazbin Hotel S2 Ep8 (Finale) Review

W: Spoilers, swear words, a WHOLE BUNCH of yappin’

So sorry this  took a while. It was a lot to cover and I’ve been busy with school and had a headache the last few days.

But I’m here to cover episode 8, the finale! First off, season 2 was so amazing! 

I send thanks to Vivzie and the voice actors and everyone involved in the production of this. It was fucking amazing.

The  beginning of the episode was hilarious as freak. Like I was listening to the plan but I also wasn’t cause they showed the plan though drawings and I was laughing. That was perfect 😅

And also, I need all my artists (me included) to get on it with drawing Chaggie in their gala dresses. It was so fucking pretty! I want to wear one honestly.

And someone tell me cus I’m dumb af, how did Vox know Vaggie was an Angel? Was that due to Angel being a spy and he told him? I feel like that was it because Carmilla was the only one who knew do to her x over her eye and it seemed no one else in the show was smart enough to figure that out 🤷‍♀️

And am I the only one who loves that Charlie is concerned for Alastors safety? Y’all saw when she saw him tied to the chair or whatever and tried to run over to him. Vox ruined the dang moment tho. Honestly I do hope Alastor sees that Charlie and the others are his friends sooner or later. I just want him to open his heart to people and form genuine bonds. Please 🥺

Okay, moving on from that, Carmilla outfit. Mwah! Chefs kiss 👌 I loved the rose in her hair (she had a rose in her hair right. From what I remember, yes)

Also…not Vox just leaving Vaggie with no place to sit. Bro took the princess of hell and disregarded her girlfriend. That’s crazy man 😭😅

And did I ever say how much Husk is like me? Like, y’all don’t no me, but if someone ever gave me code words like Emily did, I’d be like “Fuck does that mean?” Like husk. 🤣 honestly I feel like Husk and Vaggie represent me out of everyone.

I’m so glad their plan was working tho. I legit thought they wouldn’t get a second in without Vox finding out first.

I love that Charlie continued trying to get the sinners on her side too. With this plan, I’d honestly probably listen to her. 

Anyone else just find it so funny Lucifer is just chilling? 😂 like dude is not worried AT ALL about being trapped in that cage thingy. You know what? such a mood. I mean, I’d be chilling too if I figured I had no chance of escape and it was the end. But luckily he had a chance. 

And yes! Thank you Baxter! It’s about time someone muted Vox. I think him muted would be nice 😌

Now, onto these fights! They were fucking awesome! I think Nifty and Velvet were the first fight. And it was fire 🔥My girl Nifty got to stab stab again. It was cute that she did her duty, probably not just cus Charlie told her to, but genuinely because she wanted to protect Baxter and her friends. 

I really love how Husk and Cherri both went to Val’s chamber to retrieve Angel! Name a better trio 🥹

And Cherri and Husk vs Val is something I never knew I needed. But that was the best fight I’ve seen besides Vox vs Al. Val finally faced off against Angels protectors. 

Moving on, do y’all remember that part where Vox like…took Emily with his cables or something? I was legit so fricking scared that he’d hurt her. Omg if he did…grab the rifle. Grab the grenades. If ANYONE hurts sweet little Emily, it’s going down.

Okay, halfway thru guys. Stay with me 😅

Let’s move on to my favorite part…So…Alastors favor was just Charlie saying Vox was the strongest? First off, That was the smartest way ever to get out of his deal. Secondly, how did that work? Like, I need a bit more than that. Did it work cus she’s royalty. Cus anyone could’ve told Vox he’s the strongest sinner in hell. Im guessing it’s cus Charlie is royalty. I can’t think of any other way that would’ve worked 🤷‍♀️

But oh my gollie! That was smart dude.

And now Alastor had gotten more of his power back. But then I saw Vox grow his power. Hey, imma need my artists (me included again) to draw Vox in his full sinner form in episode 8. Iykyk what I’m talking about.

And btw, it was sooooo smart ONCE AGAIN how Alastor specified Vox couldn’t lay a hand on Charlie. Like, instead of saying don’t hurt her, it was don’t lay a hand on Charlie. And Vox broke that deal!! Bro! Ngl, Alastors pretty wise. Just saying. Like I truly see how smart he is in this season. 

And he kept his favor of not harming anyone. So like…bro really thought this thru since episode 4.

Now, THE best fight. Alastor vs Vox. Mwah. Chefs kiss. That’s all I got to say 🙌

Let’s go for forward and show some more appreciation for Cherri and Husk fighting Val. I love them so much 🥹

But uh…I legit feel so bad for Angel. It’s the mother-fing vees fault he was strangling Cherri. I felt so fucking bad for him 😭😭 but he didn’t mean it!! My poor baby.

Okay…let’s try to lighten this up with more action. 

The fact Voxs shark can just…like sense when Vox is in trouble. Well I mean, Vox called for him, and bro just flew out the building to go help Vox in his fight. I need me a shark now 😅

Am I the only one that didn’t know Velvet was a doll? Like I legitimately thought Velvet was finna die (and come back to life? Since…like…sinners can’t “die die” except by angelic means. I think…) when she fell from the tower. But she put herself together again. I was like “WAIT! What?! She’s a doll?” 

I feel so dumb dude 😭

Hey…guys…I think Vox lost his marbles. Yeah…bro said he didn’t care what happens to anything. Bro really lost it.

So glad everyone turned against him tho. They finally see him for the jerk he is. I could not be more proud.

Also love how Emily saved Alastor from the shark. (Speaking of which, tell me I’m not the only one who found “Get this fucking thing away from me!” Or smthg like that funny 😆)

She literally risked her wings and life for a sinner she barely knew! That is a hero right there. I love her so much 💖

Also, only thing I liked about Val (besides his singing) is the fact he tore Voxs head off. Hey…valid. I would’ve done that too. Except, I would’ve done wayyyy more to him. 

But you know 🤷‍♀️

Moving on to the best finale song I’ve ever heard in a musical series…I cried. Yeah. Shut up. 😭 let me cry dude. I can’t help I’m emotional. The way they all used their power in the end…I just…ughhh!

I’m so proud of Abel. He finally took charge against Lute. Let’s go! Show them you c and be fierce and confident Abel!! He so awesome. 

I’m so glad the overlords helped out with their power too. Speaking of which…

Of course Alastor only helped because of a deal! Of course. Should’ve seen that coming.

Now, correct me if I’m wrong, but the deal was he wouldn’t kill, or wouldn’t threaten to kill the hotel members, and would help them instead, only if Rosie fixed his staff? I think that’s right. But I was confused at first which is why I asked.

And fine…I guess I’m a little, teeny tiny, way down in my soul happy that Val and Velvette helped. At least they care enough to not let Vox destroy the world 🤷‍♀️ (don’t get it twisted. Hate their actions, especially Val’s, but they did help in the end)

(Not Katie Killjoy coming in with the “did you get all that gay shit?” Gurl. Shut up 😂)

All in all, I’m so glad everyone was okay. Luci included. Of course I didn’t forget about my boy being stuck in the cage. But he’s okay now. I just really hope he still has all his power that he has before. When in doubt, he can just make ducks to make him feel better.

Btw, I’m so glad Pentious was able to talk to Cherri. I still want him to hopefully come down to hell soon. But even if he wasn’t in hell physically, them getting to see each other was enough for me 💖

Love that Sera and Emily moment too. Do they give anyone else big sis, lil sis vibes? Like…siblings that actually get along tho (I wouldn’t no. I never get along with my younger sister 🤷‍♀️😅). I just think their bond is so cute.

Quick warning guys…we finna be talking about Angel. 

If y’all don’t wanna envision the end with Angel again, do not read. 

Myself is gonna be remembering that part just writing this. 

Anyhoo, why? Why would my boy do this?! Angel, it wasn’t your fault! You did nothing wrong baby! I literally feel so bad. He was hypnotized and forced into hurting his friends.

The fact Cherri and Husk tried to stop him too…but bro decided to go back to Val. Like full time? Please noooo! And he left Fat Nuggets. Please let season 3 be about getting Angel back. There is no reason he should stay with Val. If I see anymore Angel abuse, I’m gonna go crazy. Everyone get prepared. I’m finna bring a whole army if Val keeps putting his hands on Angel. 

(Stooop! I hate when Angel cries 😭)

Okay. I gotta try to not think about the sad parts...we’re almost done with the review guys. When I review, I literally cover almost everything! Just so you know for future reviews. 

I’m happy with the name Vaggi btw. It’s just Vaggi without the e. At least she changed it somewhat. Honestly tho, I do want to know her human name. I think it’d be cool if she just remembers her name back in life one day and just changed it randomly. Like “oh. I remember now, my name was ____.” And she changes it. 

Moving on. Alastor isn’t quitting! But for what reason. Was part of his re-deal with Rosie to go back to the hotel, or did he choose to (which I highly doubt)?🤔

And someone tell me why Val is labeled as a hero and leader of the Vees now. Bro…I honestly would’ve settled for Velvet. Like…Val finna start manipulating people too dude. I can’t 😒

Moving on from that nonsense, Im glad Emily visits the hotel more. And is helping Cherri and Pentious exchange letters! Ughhh! They better reunite soon or im fighting this whole world! 💖💖

Lastly…what…the…actual fuck is happening?! (In Charlie’s words)

This bitch Lilith decides to call at the last minute! Honestly I’ve gone from being interested in seeing her to being suspicious of seeing her. I swear if she hurts Charlie in any way, emotional included! Ooh…ooh…I just have a feeling she’s gonna be a bad mom. Idk. If she is good, then that’s good. But I feel she’s gonna be rude and ignorant to some degree. I mean, she has avoided her daughter for 7 YEARS! So yeah…

I need season 3 guys. I need to see if this Lilith is legit. 

Okay. Im a leave it there. So so sorry this was so long. But there was a lot to cover.

I’d like to close with appreciation for Vivienne, the cast and everyone whole helped in production of this show. Animation, flawless. Story, flawless (emotional…but flawless). Voices, flawless. Humor, flawless. Song…y’all. More than flawless! 

I’ve been loving this show more than anything (pun intended) and am so excited for more.
