Hazbin Hotel: S2 Ep7 Review

W: Spoilers, swear words, yappin’

Omg! These final episodes were really something! I loved them so much.

Let’s jump right into my thoughts starting with my oh so oblivious Luci.

Bro walked right into a cage the Vees prepared. And when Vox walked out he said “your not Charlie”

Uh…yeah. No shit Sherlock. 

Honestly he did not seem bothered by any part of it except the fact Alastor was in there with him. 

Speaking of which…those two never stop arguing! The fact they were arguing despite both being in the same kidnapped situation 😅

And not Luci having to specify he’s still married. Sir, Vox dont even want you. He want Alastor. 😂

Okay. Now let’s get into the good stuff. I did not expect Carmilla to have made that cage that Lucifer was in. I’m not gonna lie, she seems more powerful than I thought if she was able to make an angelic steel cage that harnessed Lucifer’s power. 

So glad she helped in the need tho cus I hated how Vox drew her in to the Vees side.

And Omg! I literally did not expect to see Vox in human form! Like I actually did not think we’d have a Vox backstory. But here we are!

Hey…I’m here for it. I didn’t think he’d be a news anchor either. Like, it makes since but it just didn’t come to mind. 

Please tell me I’m not the only one that thinks human Vox is similar to human Alastor?

Maybe not in all aspects but come on! Their both appealing to the public, their jobs were both sources of entertainment, and they both killed people. I didn’t expect Vox to like, idk…kill people. I thought he was just a powerful voice trying to persuade people. 

Also, yes! Vincent was his human name! I knew it! 

Now…did Vincent die by a television falling on his head? I mean, apparently sinners become what caused their death or what represented them in life. And the song did show that so. But…how does that even happen? I’m not even like saying “oh that’s how he died!” Or “that was a sad way to die”.

I’m just confused. It’s a unique way to die, I’ll put it that way. 🤷‍♀️

Now let’s move on from the Vees. I’m glad Charlie wanted to apologize to her dad…despite his adorable dumbass walking right into the Vees trap.

And please don’t tell me I’m the only one who almost cried when I saw brainwashed Angel shaming Charlie’s hotel. I hate Vox now. Like, I love him but I hate him. At this point, he’s on Val’s level. Like just leave my spider boy alone!

But also why does Vox keep mentioning Lilith uprisings? I’m honestly debating whether he’s telling the truth now or not. Cus he mentioned it in private. There wasn’t really a need for that. Imma keep my eyes out for Lilith. Like, I don’t wanna believe Vox but at the same time…idk!

Also Val saying “Ew I don’t like it” after the weapon was revealed. I’m sorry but that sass in his voice was funny to me. Still hate him but just, the sass man!! 😂

I do have to admit, the weapon is intriguing. Like, I hate how their using Luci for it and I hope it doesn’t like, affect him too much in season 3. Like hopefully he still has the amount of power he has before. But the weapontry and idea of it is smart. It’s crazy how they got it to break the barrier of Heaven. 

In that moment I did feel so bad for Heaven tho. They had no time to prepare and were freaking out! Emily even cussed bro. (That was kinda funny ngl. It caught me off guard 😅)

I also felt bad for Sera, that she had to deal with Emily and Lure arguing over the fight. 

She has to deal with all the big decisions but I respect her for that. 

And Sera and Pentious song was so cute! I love how he helped her relieve herself.

The fact there was a “It starts with sorry” reference in there! Aghhhhh! Pentious is the best!

I also had a sneaking suspicion Vel and Val were having suspicions of Vox. I mean, clearly the way Vox was acting, and the fact Alastor kept repeating he needs help from others, I knew Vox would leave Velvet and Val in the dust. That much was obvious.

It was also smart. Alastors plan (will cover ALL THAT in my review of the last episode)

And idk why, I just find Alastor way sassier this season. Hey! I’m not complaining. I fucking love it!

I’m glad Sera eventually decided to just have the troops, the exorcists, stand down unless they were needed. I honestly think that was smart cus I feel like I’d they just charged in, hell would’ve beaten them and believed truly that they weren’t willing to change.

Onto our hotel peoples! I really wish Charlie could’ve thought of another way of deafening Vox instead of going to the gala. Like yes! Their plan at the gala worked but at first my thoughts were “Oh my gosh! Charlie can not go to the gala!”

Moving on! (So sorry this is a long review. I did warn I was gonna be yapping tho)

I’m glad they were able to get in touch with Pentious. Well I mean…Emily did for them. But he really helped the plan work out even from heaven! I’m so proud of my little snake boi 🥹

Can we talk about Rooster tho? He was so random. Like honestly I burst into laughter at how bro was just standing there listening to their convo and ready to jump in with them 😂

And the songs! Obviously freaking amazing! I loved that song at the hotel that led into previous songs. I actually love it so damn much when they do that. Add previous song references to later songs. Like using Gravity and Once we get up there. Those two I noticed right off the bat.

Btw, anyone else live for jealous Vaggie?! 🙌we love our protective girlfriend.

I kinda feel a tiny itsy bitsy…like, the smallest bit in the universe has for Val and Vel. You can just tell as I mentioned, Vox is gonna betray them later on (and he does!).

But bruh. Lute just leave my boy Abel alone! He’s just trying to do what’s right, like Sera.

Anyhoo,

I love the fact this episode ended with a song. I didn’t think it would honestly!

Alright. Imma leave y’all off there! I am so sorry. But when I’ve watched one of my favorite shows, it gives me A LOT to talk about. 

Brace yourselves. Next post for the final episode is gonna be a whole bunch of yapping and talking.
