The sky blue angel chewed his bottom lip anxiously, his eyes darting around as if to seek an answer for the poor girl but finding none. Lucid had known of young Emily for centuries, but never beheld her image. Sera had let the name slip once and from then on the dreamer made sure to inquire on the young seraphim’s well-being. Being kept as one of Heaven’s darker secrets, Lucid had very little contact with the other angels of Heaven outside of the original high rankers that knew his predecessor first hand. Every new angel he came to know of he held onto their existence with hope. Another possible friend to be made someday when the counsel may set him free.

But this? This was not how it was supposed to happen. Lucid stepped closer, hesitantly reaching out to place a gentle hand upon her shoulder.

“This must all come as quite the shock. But it’s not a bad thing. To tell you the truth, I-I’ve been so eager to finally meet you, haha. Sera and the others always had such wonderful things to say about you!”
