Hazel's outfits SOUTH OF MIDNIGHT (2025) dev. Compulsion Games
Recently finished South of Midnight, a game I've been looking forward to for a long while and wasn't disappointed with. As a deep southerner myself, this game really surprised me with the topics that were touched up on and how much thought went into everything. The urban legends chosen were very cool and well done, and I was so excited to learn that one from my own state was used. I love folklore and southern culture, so South of Midnight is a treasure to me. Compulsion Games did an amazing job with what they've crafted and I couldn't be more happy to see pieces of southern Black culture so carefully baked into a video game from the soundtrack to the fun and accurate voices and to the gorgeous visuals and attention to detail. It all truly blew my mind.
I'll give Hazel her own, less sketchy art piece later on because she and this game deserve it. And I want a small poster of her on my desk 🥹
