I made a promise on Tiktok a while ago that if we got to 7k for the family I'm fundraising for, that I would draw Jessie and James in all the outfits from the Barbie live action movie (Jessie dressed as Ken and James as Barbie because of course). As an added bonus, I'm gonna just draw Meowth dressed as Alan in every single one in the exact same outfit, because I think that would be hilarious. Just a small bit of fanart to congratulate Stuck in the Globosphere for getting funded! A bit of crossover/cosplay inspired by Meppity’s own crossover artwork and drawing from two shows in similar vein (Severance and Gravity Falls) and then cited inspiration for the show (Scooby Doo and Miss Marple, which I used to watch a lot of at my grandparents house along with Murder, She Wrote and other mystery/detective shows that used air on Irish TV after the school day was done 😂).

I tried to mix it up a bit by using a bit more of a 3D rendering style on props the characters would interact with to nod back to the style of the project. Can’t wait to see more updates from SITG in future, I’ll have my eyes peeled for them! (And just to add, it’s been incredibly fun getting to draw in the show’s style, it’s so pleasantly distinctive and the shapes are so much fun!!)

A little bit of fanart for Stuck in the Globosphere, which I am thoroughly excited for and very happy to have pledged to! (You can tell I started this during the heatwave and that I was frustrated with the temperature 🥵)

I love shows that look fun but have that tension in story telling you that something is definitely amiss and I also love the combination of 2D and 3D with photo bashing and real world BGs, it reminds me of some of the shows I grew up with like Angela Anaconda (for anyone that remembers it, I really remember it sticking out to be because it was so visually different from other shows at the time).

I ventured outside and took a few real world photos and picked this one and planned the poses around it, which was really fun and freeing. I really hope the show gets to its final stretch goal, just so we can see the whole thing fully animated, because the opening is just amazing and to see that applied to the whole show would be incredible. Go support them if you can on kickstarter or at least follow the account if you’d haven’t already!

Final bit of the series and it was the biggest one and therefore took the longest 💀 It did go through very ugly phases where I was looking at it and thinking I should scrap, but it grew on me and I think I got it to a place where I do like it, which is always a positive 😅 I’ll be taking a little break from drawing her since I’ve gotten what I wanted to draw for her out of this series, but fingers crossed I’ll get to make more fanart in future!🩰

Since Qifrey’s was water themed, I decided to go thematic for Olruggio by going the heat route 👀 (sorry to my boy Ollie and for the part 2 that’s next for him where he will continue to have hot flashes, simply because I’m very happy with the rendering I did for him 😌🙏)

Continuing on with these pieces, this one was more focusing on the fact that even if your body is falling apart, you’re still expected to dance through the pain to make something beautiful, even if every step hurts and causes you more pain and damage. I tried to capture a ‘dancing in chaos’ vibe by adding in a lot of guts for Gwen to dance through 🩰

I had this planned from Episode 2 but had to wait because I wanted to get the rendering right for the water here (I love rendering water, which is funny because I never get to work on it anymore 💀). I'm really proud of the water stains on the bottom of Qifrey's outfit, just because I was trying to get the right feel for the fabric being sort of water logged. I've a part 2 for this, we'll see if I ever get around to posting it 👀

Guts Of A Ballerina (1/3)

This is kind the first piece in a series of three I want to do focusing on the Ballerina Guinevere, I'm a big fan in particular of her ballerina form and I like how that can be sort of merged thematically with Gwen's own story with the small bit we've seen so far. A big thing that comes up with ballet is 'retiring young' because of the sheer toll it can take on the body and how a lot of times you have to pick yourself up and keep dancing despite that pain because the show must go on, same way that Guinevere has to smile through a lot of the things we suspect have been done to her as well as what we've seen on screen. Just imagining the psychological toil on her is absolutely bone chilling to consider 🥲

Witch Hat Atelier Monday folks! 👀🎉

I wanted to do a more manga style piece with Coco and Agott (because they have a rocky start and I felt I wanted to do something that would give them some good press for the anime only viewers 😅 They're both good eggs at heart and they have a very sweet relationship that literally makes me go 'Aww' out loud 😂💖) and genuinely this is the best stab I've ever made at it, to the point I think it'll be hard for me to replicate it in future 💀 👀 (Fingers crossed practise makes me more consistent 🤞😂)

When in doubt of which bit of media you'd like to make fanart of, combine them 😎✨

I kind of think this works because I relate to both WHA and IDWTBAMG for the different ways they reflect being an artist, WHA for the journey and how you can find bits of yourself in different characters and relate no matter where they are in their progress as witches and IDWTBAMG for being a great allegory for artist burnout and how sometimes that results in a complicated relationship with the thing you used to love doing and distancing yourself from it a bit for your own mental health (which I relate to heavily 😅). Side note: I genuinely think Zira would make a good witch, just maybe don't have her be an apprentice with Coco, I don't think the constant danger would be good for her 😂

The very late fanart for the South of Midnight switch and PS5 release, we'll not mention how late I actually am 👀👀 I've played this game since it came out last year and it quickly became one of my favourites, I've replayed it a LOT simply just to experience the beautiful story and world of this game. I finally feel I'm at a point where I can try to do this goregous game some justice in my fanart so I've lined up a lot that I'm hoping to get through, wish me luck as its taking awhile 😂 If you haven't played it yet, please do, you won't regret it!

Like always, I'm taking too long getting some of my fanart pieces for South of Midnight, so for now this will have to do for the game's release to Switch and PS5 👀 Repost of my fanart piece of the Boohag from the South of Midnight comic (which you should all check out, it's fantastic and the Boohag design is incredible).

This is not a drill, go check out this game if you love fantastic narrative driven gameplay, you still not be disappointed and you will marvel at the art direction! (I swear I have South of Midnight fanart incoming, it just takes a while since I want to do one of my favourite games justice). Enjoy the game if you're getting it today!!

DeVoid and Eclipse decompressing after a day of maybe definitely failure 👀 (The wine aunt energy is strong here 😂)

This is sort of a companion piece to my last IDWTBAMG fanart that developed a lot then I had planned, simply because I drew Eclipse having to bleach his hair blonde and thought 'Bleaching can lead to the hair sometimes frying, wouldn't it be funny to push that and have DeVoid have to put out a fire on his head?' And then the last bit just as a spiderman joke and also I strongly think that whenever Eclipse breaks his shins, Aika knows deep in her soul when it happens 😂

This is not one of the fanart pieces I had planned for IDWTBAMG, but I kept thinking of a star and moon carpet with Aika on the star and Zira on the moon that I abandoned my previous plans 👀😂 I included some doodles as well, just because the image of Hoshi holding up a couch in retailation and being held back made me a laugh a lot 🤣
