@thesummoningdark: The climax was pretty good, bonus points for making me cry, but the actual ending? It was certainly a thing that happened and that's the highest praise I can really give it. 

lmao that it certainly was. Yeah I find on the whole as a movie it has so many individually cool or funny scenes, but their only thought in putting them together was “it’s chronological, right? okay cut and print”. Structurally-speaking there’s just...so much going on lol

@hazel-athena I would also like to add the fact that they didn’t stop to patch up Vasquez’s arm where he got shot? In the 1800’s? Odds are good the man got gangrene and kicked the bucket a few days down the road.

asdfghj can you imagine a post-credits scene though, like after the triumphant music has died down we’re suddenly back in Rose Creek, birds chirping, grass blowing in the wind, and the camera slowly pans up to show a fifth grave with “(?) Vasquez” carved into it, and Sam and Red staring down at it, like “told you you should have boiled the rags” CUT TO BLACK.

So, this came out of a joint conversation with @hazel-athena, @katsuko1978, myself, and a few others. So if this happens, it will be thanks to us... or we are all to blame, however you want to look at it.

There is a distinct lack of asexual representation in The Magnificent Seven fanfiction right now. We would like to see that changed. 

Now it’s been a very, very long time since I’ve issued a writing challenge (jesus fuck, apparently the last one was 2006, wtf), but here on Tumblr seemed the best place to get it started.

And I guess that starts with a question: Is this something that the fandom is interested in? Either as writers or as readers?

Right now, the terms are very limited (because I’m still building the challenge in my head): The Magnificent Seven (2016) fandom and at least one ace character. Things I would like to see, but haven’t decided on yet: a decent story length (maybe 5000 words?), beta read stories, and a few other things. (Ace doesn’t mean that you can’t have relationships involving said character, after all!)

So, Mag7 fandom, what do you think? Yes or no?

I love your sense of fucking humor, Hazel. 😂 The fact that I can still banter and joke with you after six fucking years is literally everything. We've always been on the same wavelength with our bullshit. Things don't need to be spelled out. We can just be without misunderstandings or hurt feelings because we get each other. Your sense of humor being so similar to my own allowed us to connect really fucking quickly. And it continues to allow us to connect to this day. And that's everything.
