Nightmares
Lucio x MC
I did write my MC in this one, so bear with me.
There he was. Standing in front of me and Lucio was the Devil himself. I was wrapped in his cold red chains as he twirled his black clawed hands, the chains squeezing my body. I let out a ragged scream and Lucio hurts himself towards me, but the Devil knocks him away from me. “Lucio!” Black flames come crashing down on me like a wave. He means to kill me where I stand. I bring all the magic I have to bear. The flames catch on the crescent edge of a shield. “This is where your path ends, Fool.” He raise his black claw and aims for my chest. I squeeze my eyes shut and hear the sound of a grunt in front of me. When I open my eyed, I see Lucio. The Devil claws are in his chest, slowly turning into Lucio golden arm, fingertips drenched with blood. My breathing stop short, as I grab Lucio’s body and cradle it close to me. I watch the Devil, slowly turning to a swarm of plague beetles and squirming away from me. Lucio weakly cupped my cheek with his human hand, smoothing away my tears from my face. “I’m sorry...angel.” I watch as his body turns to ash before me. “No! No, no! Lucio!” I look around, but there’s nothing there. I’m alone, in an endless black void. “Help! Asra! Nadia! Somebody!”
With a start, I open my eyes with a gasp, and see Lucio’s body hovering over me, his arms on my shoulder. “Hazel, are you alr-?” I immediately cut him off by pulling him into a hug, breathing shakily into his neck. He was shocked at first, but his arms slowly wrapped around my waist and he pulled me gently into his laps. “Nightmares again?” I nod gently in the crook of his neck as my tears fall gently into his skin. “Y-you died in m-my arms...and I was alone...It was so dark...” I feel his fingers rubbing small, soothing circles in my back. “Shh…shh, my love…I'm here…shh…there, there, pumpkin…it's alright, Hazel…shh…”
“Lucio,” I mutter in a brittle voice, “you’re crushing me.” His arms were tightly wrapped around my back and waist. Lucio loosened his hold and quickly muttered and apology. “Sorry. It’s just...I had a nightmare too.” He ran his hand gently through my hair, letting it get tangled in his fingers. “You were dying of the plague, but I was healthy and living. I blinked and...you were gone...” He pulled my in for another hug, resting his head on my breasts. “Not even Jules could save you...” I run my fingers through his hair as he nuzzles his head on my collarbone. “Lucio,” I breathe gently, “I’m here...” He lifts his head to meet my gaze. “I know.” Lucio then pressed his lips on mine, kissing me like his life depended on it. I pressed my body against his and tangle my fingers in his hair. When the need for air became impossible to ignore, we gently pull away from each other and I lie my head on his collarbone.
“Feel better?” I ask him, looking up at his face. “Much,” he breathe huskily. I lie both of us down onto the pillows, resting my head on his chest and he gently stroked my hair. “Promise you’ll never leave me?” I whispered. Lucio pressed his lips on my forehead and watched my eyelids close slowly. “I promise, dove.”
