Reaper, Sombra & Hanzo with s/o that is dying of cancer. He's in phase when he doesn't have hair and he's close to the end. I know this is depressing but... Thank you ❤
This was super hard because I had no idea what the hell to write im so sorry this is shiiiiiit
Reaper
Tears pricked your eyes as you caught a glimpse of yourselfin the steel jug. Though your reflection was warped by the curved surface, yourbloodshot eyes and smooth head weren’t a trick of the light. Lifting a shakyhand, you noted how much weight you had lost and how weak you had gotten. Youwere barely a shell now and you knew days were numbered.
“You still look better than me.”
You jumped at the rough voice which suddenly pierced thesilence. You quickly tried to wipe away your tears. You felt you were apathetic enough sight in your current state as it was.
“Dammit Gabriel! Wear a bell or else you’ll give me a heartattack before the cancer finishes me off,” you joked, giving him a weak smile.A smile he didn’t return.
Reaper slowly walked over to you and there was a tensemoment of silence. You rattled your brain trying to think of something-anything- to say. As the silence stretched the last thing you expected was forGabriel to lash out and knock the jug across the room. You squeezed your eyesshut as it clattered across the ground. When you opened them Reyes’ face wasinches from yours, causing you to press yourself further back in your seat. Washe angry at you?
“Don’t,” he whispered, “Don’t give up, don’t stop fighting. Please just stay with me. Don’t go where I can’t follow. I don’t want to livein a world without you and I don’t even know if I can die!”
He rested his forehead against yours and took a deep breath.
“I can’t lose you.”
Sombra
“Comfy, carino?” Sombra asked, placing another pillow behindyour head.
“Sombra I’m fine!” you assured, voice barely a whisper, “Iwas fine when you asked five minutes ago.”
“Alright, alright! But you gotta promise to tell me if youneed anything, deal?”
“Deal,” you sighed, rolling your eyes and resting your headagainst her.
You both knew the clock was ticking, though you mutually refusedto talk about it. But you could see it in her eyes every time she looked atyou. The helplessness, the grief, the heartbreak. She devoted every moment tomaking sure you were as comfortable and as happy as could be. She held yourcold hands. She pressed kisses to your bald head. She lay awake and watchedyour laboured breathing. She used every opportunity to remind you how much shecared for you.
Sombra tried to squeeze an eternity of love into the shorttime she had you. It would never be enough for her, but she could only hope itwas enough for you.
Hanzo
You knew you looked a state but did it really repulse Hanzoenough to drive him away like that? For a while you tried to seek him out, butat this stage you were too weak. You wouldn’t pressure him to be around you,but damn, did you miss him.
Hanzo had already lost so much, he couldn’t bear watchingyou leave his life. And he did not want to taint your last days with wastingyour precious and limited time on someone like him. Despite this belief, hecouldn’t stay away. Every night he would leave a gift beside you as you slept. You were always so exhausted he had no fear of you waking when he visited. Buttonight was different. You fought the fatigue and stayed up specially to seehim.
“Hello to you too, Hanzo,” you greeted.
He froze, halfway to placing your new gift on your bedside.
“Uh…H-hello,” he stammered.
“You know there’s no point leaving me presents, right? I can’texactly take them with me.”
“I…I just wanted to show you I cared.”
“Then stay?” you pleaded, “That’s all I want, Hanzo; You.”
He swallowed a lump in his throat.
“Are you sure? I am not worthy-“
“Hanzo, shut the hell up and let me spend the short time Ihave left with the man I love.”
You could see the tears form in his eyes before he fell tohis knees, wrapping his arms around you.
