Well well while I'm working on my new Daenerys stuff I realize there's fully finished older stuff I didn't post yet. From the Unburnt (Daenerys centric) collab (n°1) :
Adding down there the thought process cause I really worked that out.

ASOIAF: Dany Abandons Her Children, Drogon Abandons Dany, Dragon Bonds IV, Part I, covers her first 2 chapters of A Dance with Dragons. and contrasts the savage nature of her dragons & conquest against her wish to be a peaceful ruler.

“I am the queen… the… the…”
“…mother,” whispered Missandei.
“Mother to dragons.” Dany shivered.
“No. Mother to us all.” Missandei hugged her tighter.
Thanks @etherealdany for the request! This is one of my favorite moments ❤️
“daenerys not remembering hazzea’s name is a clear sign of her path to madness” .... or maybe she’s severely dehydrated, hungry, injured, sick, tired, cold, suffering heavy blood loss and is in desperate need of medical aid?
hey dany stan anon if you’re so defensive of slaves, and people who criticise dany are rooting for slavers, what about mirri and all the women from her village who were raped and enslaved because of Dany’s ambitions? what about them?

SAY THE NAMES
“ This [vision sequence] is a turning point for Dany. The book started with Dany finding out her dragon had killed the little girl Hazzea. The girl’s name haunted her throughout the book, so it’s immensely significant that her name has been forgotten now — in favor of the dragons. ” || the GRRM approved essay series, The Meereenese Knot (requested by anonymous)
“Lannister or Stark, what difference? Viserys used to call them the Usurper’s Dogs. If a child is set upon by a pack of hounds, does it matter which one tears out his throat? All the dogs are just as guilty. The guilt.....” The word caught in her throat. Hazzea, she thought and suddenly she heard herself say, “I have to see the pit,” in a voice as small as a child’s whisper. “Take me down, ser, if you would.”
This is the moment that I believe was a turning point in Dany’s story. That realisation that she was indirectly responsible for the death of a child. Hazzea was the daughter of a shepherd, she had no social or political importance to Dany, yet in that moment to Dany, one of the most powerful women in the world, Hazzea’s life and death meant everything. Hazzea was the reason, I strongly believe, that Dany changed her aggressive policies in Meereen and became more determined to solve the slavery issue by peaceful means, because Dany did not want any more Hazzea’s on her conscience. Unfortunately, as has been stated time and time again in the fandom, the peace is not a just one and Dany comes to that bitter realisation in the Dothraki sea in Daenerys X.
I have read a few metas and essays about Dany’s future arc in TWOW and a lot of them state that she will not return to Meereen. These are very intelligent and well thought out essays, written by people who have better reading comprehension skills than I do, but THEY ARE WRONG. Dany will return to Meereen, she has two enormous reasons to do so. Reasons, that she thinks are still chained beneath the Pyramid. After all, she is hardly going to leave her children, Viserion and Rhaegal behind while she supposedly conquers Volantis.
