exactly, I feel like rtd tried to preserve the old image of doctor who in a way, and moffat has just drifted a bit too far off. I mean I remember when he first replaced rtd and came up with all this cool new stuff, everyone was really excited, but then he just kept recycling that stuff he came up with a few years ago and I don't feel like he brought us anything new that could make up for it and ugh I don't even know why but I feel like rtd definitely paid more attention to character development
