Texas’ HB 3399 bill will kill people if it passes. It will make hormone therapy illegal. For all ages. Period. This was never about women’s sports. It was never about bathrooms. It was never about “protecting the children”. They want us dead. If you’re a fellow trans person and you live in Texas, I strongly urge you to be ready to move somewhere safer.

In all seriousness, fuck this guy. The “genuine care” he’s referring to is conversion therapy. For those with body dysphoria, care like the kind you’re tryna block (for ALL ages) is lifesaving and essential. Don’t even bother trying to safe face now. You just threatened the livelihoods of all the half million trans folks that live in Texas, and that’s one of the biggest mistakes you’ll ever make.
We’ve dealt with your kind before, 90 or so years ago. We survived then and we’ll persevere now, albeit with a bit more fight in us.

Spread awareness.
Make it a clear point to be like, “if it gets passed there, what’s stopping them from trying to pull that shit in Florida? Louisiana? Montana?”. That is exactly why this is a national issue. It’s a litmus test. If it passes, it signals for them to try it in other states. For those who are less informed about trans issues, bring up the fact how it’s restricting the bodily autonomy of grown-ass adults. Completely bypasses the whole “they’re mutilatin’ the children!” propaganda talking point. Because it was never about the children.
