I love the way Mei's profile ends because a) Ouchie. and b) it feels very connected to the whole concept of the cast as mostly post-wunderkind adults figuring out where to go from there. You got your whole life ahead of you (yay) vs you got your whole life ahead of you (aw shit). The DR killing games almost reframed as a twisted caricature of mercy - because you are robbed of your own future, your potential can forever bloom in the imagination of others. Anyway have a good day! <3
thank you!!
Mei is a nice contrast to the rest of the cast who have been pushed out of the school to the rest of the world to try and figure it all out after years of being told that they are exceptional, that they are promised a good and well paid life. Into a world that constantly wants more
where you are pit against experience, maybe other ultimates of the same trade, maybe similarly gifted people from competing talent schools, where what you were is suddenly not enough or what you thought you wanted, suddenly, you are not a super high school level student, you are just an adult
maybe to some of them, a classroom's worth of people all with talents trapped together forever is enough to feel preserved :)
have a great day too!!!
