HB60 and HB875
The Senate passed HB 60 last night, but we can still make our voices heard! There is still time to push back against the Guns Everywhere lobby, but only a little time. Please call RIGHT NOW and tell Gov. Deal & Lt. Gov. Cagle to stop the "Guns Everywhere" bills. Governor Nathan Deal: Phone: 404-900-7701 or 404-656-1776 Fax: 404-657-7332 Lt. Governor Casey Cagle: Phone: (404) 656-5030 (if you get "voice mail full" keep trying) Fax: (404) 656-6739 The vast majority of Georgians do not want guns in more places. Our legislators have been hearing from the gun lobby for years and now they are hearing from the rest of us! They need to be reminded that the gun lobby is losing its power to control the way legislators vote. Many of our legislators would prefer not to vote for such bills, and we can give them support and encourage them to do the right thing. But they can’t read our minds! CALL! Thanks for all you are doing!
Sarah Slamen, (@VictorianPrude), Bad Ass Hero of women everywhere testifies in the contentious House State Affairs Committee on HB60 during the first special session of Texas's 83rd Legislative Session. Her testimony prompts Byron Cook to threaten to shut down testimony and puts the committee hearings at ease.
Some information that might be useful to you for the upcoming 2nd special session of the Texas Legislature.
Make sure you continue to contact media and public figures about the Texas 2nd special session, which begins Monday!
We were so inspired by state Sen. Wendy Davis' historic filibuster to protect choice in Texas. Reblog this to join us in saying, "Thank you, Wendy Davis!"
