You never belittled me or my dreams, and when I told you about them in the darkest hours you never made me feel alone.
I know it now, that I can sit with you in the coldest nights with hands reached out into the cold air of the room. Know that even if we aren't together, that I will feel your hands on mine to keep me warm. Somehow, despite how much I can carry and overcome, it's you who seems to strengthen me.
It is an unbreakable bond, something they haven't yet made words to that maybe if we put our heads together can create all on our own.
That the world was ending, that we did all we could to change it and failed miserably. Changing their minds by force won't work, but now that I know the power of this profound love it doesn't matter what anyone says.
This fated friendship, this kindred feeling, it rips emotions and love through me I can't label it properly. I can't have a world without you in it, even when the powers that be would want us both dead.
When there is this pressure, blinding and bone breaking as it is. I just... I can't have a world without my partner.
We don't need magic, we don't need the support of any board, any council, any God, king or ruler.
Because we were never broken.
