Valery Legasov, seorang anti semitik, seorang komunis, anti dunia barat, pejuang bangsanya, pada akhir hidupnya menjadi martir dunia sains, seluruh dunia. Kondisi politik Uni Soviet dengan keberdikariannya termasuk dalam listrik - Chernobyl, atau bisa jadi keegoisan pemimpin politik, menjadi salah satu pemicu runtuhnya Uni Soviet. Upayanya untuk mengungkap kebenaran dibungkam, sampai kematiannya sendiri membuka tabir kebenaran yang terjadi di Chernobyl.
Pada akhirnya hidup ini bukan berdasarkan ras dan agama, bukan ideologi politik, bukan kepentingan golongan. Tapi untuk kepentingan kemanusiaan.

This will go down as one of the best and scariest series ever created. Just finished watching the 4th episode and it's by far the hardest to watch especially if you're an animal lover. Just when I thought that the last 3 episodes were too honest, gripping and very disturbing, wait till you see this one, it's just too heartbreaking. This show is so good and yet too stressful to watch.
