Lucas’s next meeting with the Ultimate Chimera isn’t like the last, after all there is a lack of pink and a lack of teeth moving towards them.
Its a little bird, and its running from one of the many cats in the city. Without its normal partner it looks just like a normal small yellow bird. Its making peeping noises and it attempts to hide behind Lucas from the cat.

THE LAST MONTH had been both dreadful and wonderful -- perfectly horrid, if Ana had to describe it. Framed in daylight, she skipped school and was filled with worry for her missing mother. Her concern had even started to affect nature; that was the funny thing about her ‘secret strength’ growing up, as it would change the very environment around them. It was the power of a deity but she was just a little girl who believed in powers higher than her... how could she be on their level?
Limned in moonlight, she found peace at last only in dreams -- dreams of a young boy her age with black hair, a baseball cap, and a striped shirt. She would feel at ease, a strange sense of hope growing through her chest, and the warmth that enveloped her could threaten to melt all the snow in her hometown.
At least that’s what she felt like.
When she sleeps tonight, she is in a hotel away from home. She’s always wondered what she would begin to see now that she’s met the boy that had visited her every night; would he still be there for her, in both dawn and dusk and every other time beyond and between that? That would be nice.
A glimmer of anticipation fills her as she finds herself lucid dreaming again. Though she was aware she was merely sleeping, she still somehow did not have full control -- precisely the same conditions that had drawn her to Ninten. She sees a striped shirt paired with jean shorts again and her feet pick up, excited to meet the boy at the end of this ethereal landscape but her steps stop short of leaping forth when she notices now his blond hair and taller height.

Birds of a Feather
There was a bird at his feet.
It was a tiny thing, barely half the size of Lucifer’s palm. Little brown sparrows like these usually graced Lucifer with their presences when he decided to walk among nature, but this time, it was different.
This time, the bird lay on the ground with its wings spread, one bent at an odd angle, and the other bleeding and in tatters. Its little breaths came in heaves, and it was clearly in distress. It was a miracle that it had survived until now...but it wouldn’t be for much longer.
“......”
He had never been permitted to interfere with the world. Lucifer had never been allowed to interact with life, never been allowed to disrupt the natural course of things. He was the supreme primarch who presided over evolution, and he had to let evolution run its course.
But...he was no longer the supreme primarch.
And this land, this Spirale City, was far removed from the skies he had been tasked with protecting.
With little more deliberation, Lucifer knelt down by the wounded bird and gently scooped it into his palms. Then, with a gentle hand glowing with a soft light, he ran a finger over the bird’s torn wing, and then over its broken one. The visible wounds faded as if they had never been there. Soon, the sparrow was able to lift itself onto its feet, though it remained as a puffy ball of feathers in Lucifer’s palm.
That was fine. Lucifer was content to hold it until it was ready to fly again.

“Hey little bird, you are pretty friendly...“ Euden wasn’t expecting to have a bird hanging around him, and he had already checked over the bird to see if it had gotten hurt or anything but no it was perfectly fine.
He spotted a kid that must have noticed him talking to the bird and waves at them.
“Hey, come over here? This bird is really friendly.“ He smiled warmly at them, and waited to see if they would come close to see the small bird. After all the kid reminded him of the kids he helped protect at his job so it didn’t feel right to just wave at them and leave it at that.

A new friend, the radiocats said.
Claus followed two of them as they bounded down the streets of Fibonacci; the felines stopped every few feet to ensure that Claus was following, tails twitching expectantly.
“He’s very nice,” declared one cat. “He brought us milk!”
...Did radiocats eat milk? Hadn’t he seen them with oil once? Well, whatever the case, they seemed happy enough. Claus wondered just who it was that had gone out of their way to be kind to the cats--maybe someone tolerable in this big, loud, stupid city.
You could trust someone who was kind to animals. That was what his dad used to say...and the animals themselves.
Claus ducked under a piece of tarp obscuring a hidden side street at the end of a quiet alley. It was here that Claus had set up camp in regards to taking care of the strange radiocats that frequented this sector, and it was here--
--that--
“...Lucas?”
--they reunited.
