I am not a HEMA practitioner but I am trying to start a movement in the Traditional Chinese Martial Arts to do competitive weapon sparring. I am wondering do HEMA competition allow different stylists...

Some folks training chinese martial arts have started looking a bit more into sparring, fighting with opposition in the like, and seems like are looking into chinese manuscripts and manuals much like HEMA folks do. Check out their video from the OP, as well as their youtube channel and the facebook page  Xinyi-Dao Kung Fu. The school as such doesn’t focus only on weapon based martial arts but empty-hand techniques as well, however some students decided they want to research more.

They seem to be looking into some of the manuscripts listed here at  Brennan Translation and ChineseLongsword.com, which serves a similar function to the Wiktenauer website.

So far they’re using practice weapons from RSW but seem to be looking into other types such as the ones from purpleheart or blackfencer.

And one is also advised to check out their facebook group Historical Chinese Combat Arts (Weapon Fighting)/ 中国古代器械格杀术 From their description: ‘‘ This group is dedicated to rediscovering ancient applicable weapon fighting techniques in Chinese Martial Arts that lead to modern wushu and traditional kung fu. http://www.historicalchinesecombatarts.org/ ‘‘
