HCMH Studio 2025 Year-end announcements
For 2026, their planned releases are: - Legend of Hei donghua series (pre-school arc) - Completion of Lanxi Zhen manhua - 24 Solar period artworks - some celebratory artworks and merchandise - a lovely animated short film - a few books and art collections
In regard to the movies and future plans: - Movie 3 is estimated to take another 5 years - Scheduling should become quicker from Movie 4 onwards - Movie 3 will bridge the movies and the donghua series - Starting from Movie 4, the movies will take place at different points of the timeline (T/N: I've seen some people saying it will be an alternate timeline, but that's not quite what 随机时间线 means. It just means that movie 4 won't be a direct sequel - it could be a prequel, or it could be much further into the future etc.)
In regards to the donghua: - the team will try to have a new season of the donghua every 2 years without delaying progress on the movies (they hope to have a new season of the donghua every year, but this will require several more years to achieve)
In regard to the manhua: - after Lanxi Zhen is completed, all manhua updates will be on hiatus for a year (to allow them more focus on the upcoming donghua series and to stock up on chapters/drafts of the manhua) - the next manhua project will be 《剑圣无限》 "Sword Sage Wuxian" - they'll be forming/training a new manhua team, which will be working on several manhua projects at the same time - the new manhua projects will be updated in turns (hoping for 3 chapters every month)
