For Zen, a question like that is easy to answer — nothing brings him greater joy than when he’s onstage, singing and acting. Ever since he was young, he’s known musical theater wasn’t just what he wanted to do, but what he needed to do. 

The heat of the stage lights, embodying a character, and channeling emotion through his voice carries a thrill that’s unbeatable, in his eyes. What only enhances that happiness is the way it affects his fans. Knowing that his acting and singing not only brought him pleasure, but also pleasure to someone else, is everything to him.

After all, that’s why he’s always working to ensure that he can provide both the greatest performance possible, and also to continue securing jobs so that he can experience that happiness for the rest of his life.

& jesus christ don’t go there. but seeing as you already did go there, everyone is upset about it because v deserved better dammit. saeran is totally inconsolable, because despite losing trust in him v was one of the most loving people present in his life. & he already lost rika, why does he have to lose v too ? is no one in his life ever going to stay ? ]

[ hooooo boy, yes. it’s how he deals with difficult things— or, to be more accurate, it’s how he doesn’t deal with difficult things.

it’s easier for him to lie to himself than to accept certain things. because to accept them he has to think about them, he has to acknowledge certain emotions, and he has to open himself & make himself vulnerable. all of those are things he doesn’t like doing.

the main thing he is in denial over is saeyoung. to be more exact, it’s the fact that saeyoung loves him.

he cannot accept the fact that saeyoung loves him, and will never leave him again. because if he accepts that, then if he ever leaves it’ll hurt so much more. so he tells himself over and over, saeyoung doesn’t care about him, one day he’ll push him far enough and he’ll drop him. it’ll happen, so don’t get your hopes up. don’t let yourself get close. it’ll hurt less if you hate him.

he will eventually get over everything he’s in denial over. he’ll be given enough proof to accept the hard truths of his life. but ... reaching that point will take a lot of time and effort, from both him and those who care about him. ]
