Angela scrubbed at her eyes as she stood in line at the coffee shop. She had been awake for almost thirty hours and it was taking a lot of her mental energy to translate her thoughts from Swiss-German to English. There was a slight nudge to her back from the person behind her. Angela hadn’t noticed that the customer in front of her had already ordered and paid. “Ah,  entschuldigung.” She walked up to the counter and took a deep breath. “Could I get... ein Kaffee, ein Gebäck und eine Limonade zu gehen.” Angela smiled softly at the barista who just stared at her confused. It took a moment for Angela to realize what she had done.

“Oh, I’m sorry. Uh...one coffee for here....a, uh....pastry and limonade to go.” She turned to the person behind her and gave a small smile. “Sorry, for the wait.”

"Ich kann keine Wunder wirken. I need to filter these house calls better... or get a car.” Angela grumbled softly as she walked down the street. Her staff was wrapped in a soft cloth and strapped to her back. She had received an “emergency call” and all but ran across DC to get to the patient’s house. Come to find out, it was simply a first time mom with twins who had caught a cold. She had given the kids some basic cold medicine and instructed the mother to call back “if they stop breathing or worse.” After about a twenty minute metro ride and a ten minute walk, she was almost to the clinic.It was that moment when she noticed a figure standing outside the door. It took a lot of will power to not turn around and walk home. She strolled up to the figure and tried to give the nicest smile she could. 

“Are you looking for the doctor?”

hi loves, first of all i want to apologize so much for disappearing for a bit there, some things happened in my life that have just made everything way more difficult but i just really love this group and everyone in it so im hoping to be able to get back into the swing of things soon. to help with that, though, can i drop jasper, lestat, and jay please? and also ask for a hiatus until 5/6? thank you so so much for understanding !! i appreciate and love you all so much <3
