being in dc was proving to be harder than emily had anticipated it would be. it hardly felt like a fresh start, when all she could think about was her kids not being there and her lack of a job – working at coach had been embarrassing enough, but now she was really struggling. she was not, however, the type who would admit to such a thing. "i think my stress has stress at this point," she muttered, only half-addressing the nearest person. "what exactly do people do to relax around here?" not that she was good at actually relaxing, but she could at least try.

“ it did sound insane , ” mike agreed. of course it sounded insane. who wouldn't think that it did ? time travel , a sister he forgot about ? it was absurd in mike's mind. while he'd always wanted to be the kind of person who could believe in things , what steve had said seemed a little too far-fetched to be believable. at least the male could acknowledge it , though. he figured that meant something. hawkins. that damn name kept making an appearance , and he wanted to know why. steve had already mentioned a few things to him , he wondered what he could tell him about hawkins. considering this time , mike was asking for answers. he doubted steve knew what was wrong with him , but he could maybe give him some insight into the place that had been plaguing him lately. “ hawkins. you're not the first person to mention that place to me. you wouldn't happen to know a guy named will who is also from there , would you ? ”
