            this wasn’t the normal time he would come, but he hadn’t much else to do and he really felt like he needed a drink. there was a slight frown as he looked up from his phone to see rowon; a drink sliding towards him.  ❝   maybe too long of a while hmmm … ❞  he replies lifting the drink, a single nod before downing most of it.

a soft hum slipped past his lips as he dipped his chin in a nod, “what brings you here?” he asked out of curiosity, hands busying themselves by preparing drinks for other customers at the bar. rowon chuckled lightly, “slow down there, you’re gonna knock yourself out by the time you down the third glass.

Things had changed a lot since she left high school - especially her living situation...in every single way. She was a single mother now, having gotten knocked up by a high school boyfriend. Only, she foolishly never told said boyfriend. Mei had been terrified; she panicked, and fled. And now? She was moving into her first apartment, carrying up a large box as her little toddler clung to her hand. It was difficult, and briefly did she need to let go of her daughter’s hand in order to open the door and set the box inside. That was all it took, too, apparently. Within the literal blink of an eye, not only did Mei not hear her neighbors door open, but her toddler had gleefully ran up to the stranger. 

     “Yuri!” She called out her daughters name, quickly running over and scooping her up into her arms and quickly stuttering an apology to the stranger. “I-I’m so sorry, I--” words stopped mid-sentence as she realized just who she was talking to: Minwoo, her ex, and the only possible father of the child she held so dearly.

Everyone thought they were the perfect couple, but it was much more complicated than that. Mina and Jihoon are best friends, and best friends helped each other out – no matter what. That was just part of the best friend code. So, that’s why they mutually agreed to ‘date’; Mina being someone who felt she needed to hide who she was. Especially around her ‘boyfriend’s sister. She always became such a stuttery and flustered mess…But alas, here she was, holding Jihoon’s hand as they walked about the mall, just killing time together as they often did.

    “You know, Songjun tried to weasel his way along with us today.” Songjun was her twin brother, who she absolutely adored with her entire heart.

There was a lot to the idol life that Chanhyun adored – one of which was getting to read fanmail when he received it. Typically, his manager was a little strict on replying, but he understood why. It was next to impossible to find reasonable time to reply to everything, and it wouldn’t be fair to the fans they couldn’t reply to. Taking the stack of letters addressed to him specifically, Channie retreated to his bed. His roommate, JJ, was still fast asleep, allowing him ample alone time to fully take in the words written so lovingly to him.

But, there was one in particular he just couldn’t get over – even finding himself needing to read and re-read the letter, over and over. Ky…it was from a fan named Ky. Hesitation washed over the group’s leader before he got up and ventured over to his desk, digging out a scrap of paper and writing immediately.

Ky – Hi! I got your letter…obviously. I just needed to say thank you. It was so sweet, and so touching…One I will definitely be keeping tucked safely away. I don’t know if I’ll be able to do this again, my manager may not be too happy if I do :P but…I would love to keep in contact somehow. Add me on Kakao? Mine’s LeederChannie. If that doesn’t work…just send another letter. :)

Signing the bottom as he typically signs anything and everything, Channie moved quick; sealing the envelope and making some sort of excuse to run into town. Getting the letter mailed, the boy felt oddly good – and a little anxious. He just hoped his fan wasn’t weirded out….And he hoped his manager would come to understand, should he ever find out about him replying back.
