HYDRA expands its universe as 'Hyde Academy' heads to Netflix

On March 23, HYDRA Labels released an announcement: Hyde Academy will officially return for a second season. This time as a global series in partnership with Netflix.

According to early reports, Season 2 will take a hybrid approach, blending never-before-seen footage from Season 1 with a completely reimagined continuation of the program. While the first season introduced viewers to HYDRA's trainee ecosystem, the upcoming installment is said to expand far beyond its original scope. Insiders reveal that the new season will feature an entirely new lineup of trainees, a new training system, and a different international setting.

With a bigger platform, expectations are rising for higher production value, more intense storytelling, and a wider reach than ever before. HYDRA Labels has yet to confirm a release date or official cast lineup.

Mystery man? Song Naimei seen out in Los Angeles amid 'HYDE ACADEMY' buzz

On June 27 (KST), GIRLNEXTDOOR member Song Naimei was spotted in Los Angeles alongside a rising influencer and indie band member, sparking buzz across online communities and fan forums. The sighting comes just after her individual teaser for HYDE ACADEMY project was released, leaving fans full of questions.

Some netizens were quick to speculate whether the meeting was personal or professional, especially given HYDE ACADEMY's LA-based filming schedule and its rumored ties to youth culture and music subcultures. "She's filming in LA, she's an idol, he's a musician, maybe he's part of the show or the soundtrack," one fan suggested on an online forum. HYDRA Labels new rookie boy and girl groups spotted leaving South Korea

The latest photos of HYDRA's trainees spotted at the airport leaving South Korea caused a buzz on various social media platforms and online communities.

On May 20, unrevealed trainees, were seen at the Incheon International Airport. Nearly a month ago it was reported that Hydra Labels has entered the final stages of preparations for temporary groups under the new company structure.

They garnered the public's attention and were greeted by reporters.

MNET drops a surprise teaser, titled 'Hyde Academy'. 

On March 31, MNET released a spoiler for the project on its official Youtube Channel. The project is in collaboration between HYDRA Labels and subsidiaries under the label to produce a two groups. The company has not provided details on highlighted trainees, however, netizens have begun doing a deep dive into they're fresh faces via Instagram.
