why does this have so much gay tension
want a sickfic where mccoy is coughing so much he basically can't speak (and they cant just up and heal him for whatever reason - maybe stuck on a planet somewhere idk) and spock is like "doctor please save your voice only for the most urgent times". so spock keeps shushing mccoy and oh that man is Grumpy with a capital G when he's sick, so out of pure annoyance he manages to start communicating with spock telepathically. he can't tell what he's done at first, doesn't quite realise it, and spock doesn't tell him right away bc they have an audience or something. so mccoy ends up thinking something stupidly fond as well as something extremely rude.
