1-10 odd numbers
oo1. Who was your first crush?
Crushes were never present in her life, with the exception of fictional characters or the famous stars she would idolatrize during her younger years, as for Ara doesn’t acknowledge anything in between a simple drizzle or an alarming tornado. It is part of her personality to avoid grey areas just as much as she avoids any forms of emotional attachment, relationships particularly. Whenever this little bird takes a particular interest in someone, the boy was efficient enough to sweep her off her feet unannounced, crushes were never necessary. However, she might indeed admit that Mister Darcy from Pride and Prejudice – the first novel she actually read on her own – is one fine gentleman.
oo3. What’s one quality you look for when choosing friends?
Communication. If they are included in Ara’s friendship circle, rather than being just a mere acquaintance in her daily routine, then it is expected for them to be able to conceal with her love for words and the necessity in sharing them with someone else; the subject in question isn’t a matter, the debate that shall surface from it should be. Ara loves hearing her darling ones’ opinions around the most divergent occurrences, their stories, their feelings, and honestly enough, she doesn’t even mind starring a monologue in their company. After all, the worst thing one can do to a linguistic is not communicate.
oo5. Who was your first “best friend”?
Little bird’s first best friend was a little boy; raven colored strands, expressive orbs, adorable smile and two years younger than herself. They used to attend playdates almost religiously at every afternoon in Hongdae’s playground during the entire course of summer while Ara was still eight years old, he was the one to teach her that it was okay to care about someone else to the extent of wanting to protect him from the older kids who thought they owed the swings he adored. However, she spread her beautiful wings and flew back to her home country as the summer came to an end, she broke his little heart with a promise to always be friends and as they met again years later and as grown up adults in Hongdae, she learned he still held a grudge against her and was the one to leave her behind this time.
oo7. What does it take for you to consider someone a friend?
Patience and understanding. Though completely social, she is still a way too polite or stoic across strangers and some of her newly acquired friends, people say that trust breads trust and Ara couldn’t agree with that statement more. One have to give it to get it, trust her your problems and she will offer you understanding and a chance to solve it with someone’s support, be patient enough and she will open her heavy heart to your presence and trust in your hands her problems and concerns.
oo9. What smells remind you of friendship?
The smell of beverages, coffee and wine to be more precisely, as for those are not only her favorite drinks, but also the main suggestion to a day or night of chattering, filled with smiles and laughter. Nothing reminds her more than a certain memory in the company of the ones dear close to her heart than those two drinks, especially when they seem to accompany both tears and smiles.
