No one had ever sent him a scroll before. He wondered what was on it. Maybe some cool new jutsu's to study, or some old seals for him to study.
It could be anything, and it made him a little giddy. He always loved a good surprise.
He undid the tie with ease and opened the scroll on top of his desk, his eyes scanning over the words as soon as they were exposed to him.
Legends? That was not what he had been expecting? Most people had moved their tales of heros and monsters to books when they had become available. Very few used scrolls anymore, but this still looked quiet new.
His eyes widened when he saw where the legends were from. 'The land of lightening'. There was a vague memory in the back of his mind from the last kage meeting. It involved a lot of alcohole and a game of truth or dare. A game Kakashi rarely took part in, but the other kage's refused to let him back out.
Of course, their questions were a lot less invasive than his friends, since they knew so little about it. He had been more than happy to answer 'what is your favorite food' and 'what do you do in your pass time' even if he had kept his answers short and simple and refused to go into detail.
The only question he had given a detailed answer to, was 'do you read anything other than porn' he had been quiet offended by the assumption that he only read porn. That was just his cooping mechabism for dealing with reality.
He cringed at the memory of his rant. The legends of the world and how he wished he could read every single one available from every land.
'Huh' he was going to have to send the Raikage a thank you gift.
Of course, he cold do that after some light reading. After all, it would be rude not to enjoy his gift.
