I had the ridiculous idea of Unicron becoming a detective and using his powers to resurrect the dead to interrogate the victims as a gimmick. So detective Unicron it is.
Part one: Rude awakening
It was a especially windy day in Chicago, with dark clouds hanging over the sky like a blanket. The city looked perfect for a noir story to be told. Except that it will well... not be your usual criminal fiction.
A guy, around his thirties was laying in his own pool of blood, his suit drenched in the liquid that came out of the wound on his back. He had been laying there for hours now, most definitely being dead and forgotten. But then out of nowhere he suddenly took a breath like a newborn baby as he lifted up his face and involuntarily started to crawl.
"MARK MY WORD PRIME, YOU WILL...!" he screamed like a scared five-year-old when they saw something under their bed. But he suddenly came to a halt as he noticed his surroundings. "What?" he looked around as he quickly stood up and limped towards the window, grabbing into anything he could. He looked down seeing the streets, stuffed with humans. "This is not where I am supposed to be" he stated, fury apparent on his face. But it was rare for Unicron to not be angry. He was the god of destruction after all. "I'm not supposed to be between these worms! I'm a god!" he screamed again in rage, throwing the closest thing to him, a vase, to the wall.
But it wasn't enough, it was never enough. His fury was messy, flipping the chairs, flipping the tables. He was ready to tear down the whole house if could. Now the place really seemed like someone was killed here. But standing there in the middle of the room with a heaving chest, he noticed another body laying in one of the doorways. Seeking answers, he made his way towards the body, kneeling beside it as he lifted up his left hand. He was a god, and wherever he went, his powers followed.
Unicron held his hand over the lifeless form, his fingers twitching with a faint, purple and chaotic energy. Moments later, the body gasped, filling its lungs with air in a sharp, sudden breath, and the eyes fluttered open, wide with terror.
“Where… wha–?” but he couldn't say anything as he grabbed him by the collar.
"Who did this? Who put me into this vessel?!" Unicron hissed, his anger mounting again. Whoever did this will pay dearly for crossing path with the god of Destruction.
"Run... found... butterfly... brother!" he gurgled a lot of nonsense as blood ran down from the corners of his mouth. Seconds later his eyes rolled backwards and he was gone. Unicron tried to resurrect him again, but without any success. This body had limitations. How nice.
Then Unicron heard footsteps. "The insects are coming" he stated but before he could say or do anything a human entered the apartment through the door that was left open. Her olive skin and dark, shoulder-length hair framed a face that was both sharp and compassionate, her eyes sweeping across the room with a keen, practiced gaze. This wasn't her first rodeo.
"Eric Vance?" she asked as her hand lingered on her pistol strapped to her thigh. "I'm Detective Ryes from the Chicago Police Department and there's a possibility that someone wants to kill..." she started to say but then suddenly stopped.
"I need no help from the likes of you worm" he looked up her, his eyes having a purple shine in the flickering light above him. "I'm freed from my prison and I will waste no..."
"There's a knife in your back!" she said, sounding half concerned and half annoyed.
"I do not care! Don't you dare interrupt me while I'm speaking, insect!" he yelled, getting a grip on the knife and pulling it out with one swift move.
"Oh my God" the woman whispered to herself as she stepped closer.
"Yes, you are speaking to him" Unicron stated in a darkened voice as he threw the knife into the floor. He's going to find out who did this. Even if he has to tear this universe apart.

I know it did not really had the detective part yet, but I thought putting it out in parts might be better as Tumblr not really made for huge chunk of texts.
